Ditto. The Masaratti is better looking. And it can be fixed. If Rolands F-40 can be repaired, this would be easy.
What's the actual value of an Enzo? On the news this morning, they started out at $1.1 million and then a little later $1.2 million. Now I just read on Yahoo News that a "$1.5 million Enzo was destroyed". Do they think that a diminishing supply applies to the wrecked ones also?
Ferrari @ the Wynn had a nice Nero/Nero Enzo that they had just reportedly sold for $1.4M when I was there this weekend. A few Enzos have had their engines replaced under warranty, and this can be like a "Story" to some and put people off. Lowest price I've seen for one in the US has been around $900k.
IMO... Helps the film, helps the Enzo market, insurance covers the "loss", and probably helps Eddie Griffin's career. Minus that physical Enzo, sounds like a win / win to me. I'm amazed that the hood looks completely unaffected, great build quality.
I personally like everything about the car. It was designed perfectly IMO. I think it is a true super Ferrari. JUST LIKE the Ferrari 288GTO, F40, and F50. They were each around at a different time. All meant something great in the car world when they came out and each one still does today.
Rebuilt. Hardest part was getting Smores off the data plates to slide new car under them. ROFLMAO. 399...400...401...next Pretty soon Enzos will be like 512's and LM's. 130% of production survives. Just never seen together Must have been the tires....Autocrossers use Kumhos and Hoosierdaddies. Minus style points for understeering into the wall. At least a spin for the cameras?
Obviously a bad driver, didn't even seem to brake for the turn, and obviously does not care for the car at all. Why would you even let him touch it, true it was for charity but its an ENZO. I also like how uninformed news agencies are about the Enzo, CBS reports "about 350 were made" WRONG, "the car is damaged beyond repair" WRONG, "the brotha cant drive" CORRECT
It gets pretty annoying when you hear them get the facts completely wrong. And some people thought this one was beyond repair. Nah...... Image Unavailable, Please Login
+1 I saw the crash this morning on the news just before I left. I immediately thought it didn't look totaled. I think I read on MSN something about a $500K Enzo. I know I read it somewhere and laughed my ass off.
In a news article Griffin says that a cone got stuck between the tire and the fender causing the crash. I don't really believe that is what caused it. This youtube link has the interview in which he says what happened. (at about 50 seconds in) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGOpv4o8ivs
I think I know what your talking about. Ouch, more like just over $400k. http://www.thebidclub.com/Ferrari/Home.htm It's the third one down.
i did not see this photo before in this thread but i may have missed it http://www.showbuzz.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/03/27/people_hot_water/main2611916.shtml anyone have it bigger
I dont know what the average market for Enzo's are, but Ive seen the car that crashed before, and theres no way in hell it would pull in top dollar.... It was used in the film and was already pretty thrashed.... 75% value car at best.
....uh...ok Joe. I would certainly risk injury or death to sell a few more movie tickets...yea, good idea.
Yeah, I bet the boys at Ferrari were just filling up their shorts when they saw one of their beauties crashed into a concrete barrier And yeah who puts a concrete barrier this close to a turn, knowing a fool would put it into the wall eventually. Bad decision!
