I was in Beijing last week for business, and couldn't help but stop at the F-dealer directly across the street from my hotel. There were no customers in the store, but they had 2 F430 Coupes (both F1) and an F430 Spider. I've attached picutres.

None of the cars had CCB's and the price for the red coupe is supposedly US$375k, becuase of the very high duty that the Chinese gov't has for these cars. In any case, all 3 or the cars were available immediately at sticker price for someone who wants one, quite different than it is over here!

The dealer also told me that they have already sold 2 599's and if you want to order one, it takes about 6 months, but is no problem to get. Of course, they also said they do no used car business. There was a new Quatroporte on the floor with the new for '07 slushbox, but they haven't sold any yet.

Directly next door is the Lambo/RR dealer. I don't think either one is doing much business yet. The F-dealer is now 18 months old. Below are photos:

Can't imagine there's too much use for Ferraris in China. Where would you drive them? What do their owners do, park them in the livingroom?

I was in Mexico City last month and happened to visit the Ferrari dealer there. It was a small place that also sold Alfas. They only had one Ferrari - a 612. They claimed to have sold 5 559s. Seemed like a lot to me.

I did see one on the road (from afar) at the customs toll going from Hong Kong into China. I was too far away to see if it was a right hand drive (HK) or left hand drive (China) car.

Ill say one thing, though, I saw some of the scariest driving of my live when I was there. During a taxi ride one day, I though for sure the driver was on a suicide mission. Generally, I think Beijing has many new drivers, and many of them are bad.

I have not been to China recently enough to comment with actual traffic knowledge. But I have driven in developing countries throughout the world -my sense is that driving in China is as described above....

China is getting a lot of new dealers... It isnt fair! 6 months to get a car would be so nice, but I guess it ends up costing the same as the premium you pay here.

    Nice looking dealership though
