Greeting all... Just taking a moment to introduce myself. My name is Chad and I live in Atlanta, GA. I have had the pleasure of owning some very nice sports cars over the years. While none of them were Ferrari's, the prancing horse has always had a place in my heart. At the end of 2006, I started my Brand development company and it has done extremely well. So much so, I hope to have the opportunity to purchase my dream auto...an F550 Maranello. As with all my past cars, I get very "into" them. I like to learn everything there is to learn. From mechanical maintenance to troubleshooting and repair. In the next few weeks, I will be asking some in-depth questions about the F550. In any of you could offer some tips, things to look for, model years to consider, etc...I would be very appreciative. Thanks for the time. I look forward to chatting with you guys... cheers, Chad
There is a great 550 available from a fellow Fchatter Martin (Cavallinomotors). It is black / tan IIRC. Good luck in the search! BT
Don't buy Martins-- I want it It looks super nice, but I am trying to hold out for a Swatters. Welcome to the list! -dsd
thanks all. 1st question. I'm a big dood. 6'7" and 250# to be exact...how will I fit? I sat in a 550 a few years ago at Ferrari of Atlanta, but I don't really remember how I fit. All I remember is that I fit better than I did in the 360 Modena. Thoughts? C.
I'm 5'10" and 265. The 550 is comfy. The seats are a bit narrow on the back but plenty of interior space. I found the 575 a bit more comfortable. The 360 is a more compact cabin. Best bet is go to Ferrari of Atlanta and sit in some. Best, dsd
If you are a big guy, when you sit in the 550, be sure the rear bolsters on the back of the seat are all the way out, there is a manual adjustment on them.
Welcome! Im sure you will find you will get a plethora of imformation here that can really help you in your search/buying process. Good luck! Matt
