wtf - my wife (corporate lawyer) scratched my car while unravelling a twenty dollar car carpet in the garage, there are now 3 scratches, light ones, below the driver's door handle. extending onto rear panel. , largest one measuring about 2 inches, can probably get buffed out?
this is after i had first floor of my house gutted and renovated this summer wuth multiple workers in and out of my house with no car damage.
options? - kill her, divorce her or use this as excuse to get 430 spider

Probalby better just cheaper to buff it out.

If it doesnt, tell her how hurt you are and she needs to make it up to you...then you can decide what she needs to do for you ;)

PS why dont you come out on the run on May12th with the other Ontario folks(Look in the Canada section). SInce you have a scratch already whats a few stone chips?

Make her park her car outside and never allow her to step foot in the garage!

Try a very LIGHT POLISHING compound, NOT RUBBING compound with a mircofiber cloth or contact a well known professional detailer.

always bad when its a friend/family member as you feel like knocking someone out...but...you cant!

give a cutting compound then polish/wax a go, if they havent gone down to the paint (which would be a bloody deep scratch) it should come out no probs

Damn!!!!!!! Sorry to hear this one and especially when it happens from a family member!

Whips and chains sounds good, but so does the F430, try both!!

I would say that at this point that you are definitely not "jolly"!

However, since I am not current on Canadian family law (and she may be but corporate lawyers only know board room language), you could claim any of the following:

    1) alienation of affection for your car
    2) physical abuse
    3) destruction of a community property asset without authorization

You get the point. Naturally, if you were a resident and domicilliary of California, I could better advise you.

However, it may be cheaper to:

    1) keep her
    2) restrict her shoe buying budget
    3) spank her
    4) declare the garage non-community property and keep her out.

Please promptly mail me $500.00 US for the legal advice.

Are you talking to his wife?

    What else is new?

Besides he asked for legal advice not advice from a sex therapist!

gents ( as tarek would say),

i'll try to buff it out.
she's banned from the garage as of 2 hours ago.
i'm already arranged for a contractor to put up a wall in my garage to separate the 360 from the other 2 bays.
am going tomorrow to put my 15G deposit for a 430 spider, 08 delivery.
am not going to get the quattroporte for her (as previously agreed) as she has no respect

Well, just scratches and it is just a car ; nothing more important than a family. Scratches on the car can be fixed but scracthces in the family is harder to be polished. Fix it and trade up for a 430 when time comes. Amen !
Are you going to join us in May 12 so we can take a look of your scratches (No, I meant your car's scratches :-( )
