that's going to require an alignment! Here is a more complete video on the story: http://www.cbs2.com/video/[email protected] Ray
Well... It´s sad.... But it is "only a car" and nobody was killed. Don´t misunderstand... I think it is awfull....
I simple can't believe that the duck billed car can't even take a corner at such a low speed. I would send it back to Enzo and complain about the poor cornering abilities. Did anyone else hear a loud QUACK when the hood flew open?
according to wikipedia, estimations of damage is about 200k US. i'm still trying to figure out why was there so much of understeer? was there by any chance of some kinda technical failure? also, eddie in a interview said that front tyre, left side, had a cone stuck in it, prompting the crash.
Pic from Autoweek.com. This guy must have been resting his big brass ones on the rail, he didn't budge an inch. Image Unavailable, Please Login
so i caught the tail end of a discussion of this on the drive to work this morning on the Adam Carolloa show. Jimmey Kimmel (who is a producer of Adam's show) is going to have Griffen as a gues on tonight and will apparently drill him about the crash. don't know if they were joking about this or not (they seemed pretty serious, but i turned it on late so couldn't tell), but they were talking about Griffen being potentiall on some weed while driving the car. hmmm....
Now I am starting to wonder if it really was planned. I still don't think so, but the thought keeps crossing my mind. http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/67484/a-car-worth-wrecking
Griffin is getting plenty of laughs and publicity out of his Enzo destruction on the Jimmy Kimmel show tonight. This whole things smells fishy. What kind of buffoon would brag about destroying a million dollar car, and what million dollar car owner would stand by silently while the buffoon gets mileage out of his car's destruction? Sounds like one big publicity stunt. Which brings about a question: Has there been any video or photos of the car that did NOT originate from Griffin or the Redline movie people???
No way they would have put that guy there by the barrier if that was a stunt. They would have just crashed it. But that guy was 5 feet from the business end of that Enzo. NO WAY would they have risked it.... Think about it.
Fixed NOT SURE but lets look at the facts. 1. Give a quick car (OK very quick car) to somebody with limited talent (acting and driving) 2. On a race track 600bhp ferrari limited coaching (I guess that by him hiting the wall) 3. Worlds press or just cameras watching 4. The fact that he is male and a actor (Remember TEAM AMERICA) 5. And guess what he CRASHED well well theres a surprise eh I THINK NOT NOT IF BUT WHEN
I watched the Jimmy Kimbal, Kimmal whatever show, he Eddie talked the whole thing up, kept acting the thing out and saying how fast he was going, and acted like he shifted at least 3-4 times before hitting the wall, liar. Also they pointed out one thing that's weird, the guy on the other side of the barrier, when they slowed it down, he didn't move an inch, before, during or after the car smeared onto the barrier.......he was obviously too busy taking pics......so where the hell are they? I have not seen those pics anywhere, Jimmy brought it up, and asked Eddie if he'd seen it, Eddie said he hadn't either, has anyone here seen those? Couple other things, there was footage from another point of view, a higher up 3/4 view of the drivers side, shows the car perfectly before the wreck, yet oddly enough the video skips the impact and pics back up when the car is already damaged, they played it a couple of times and at first I thought it had been a glitch by the show, but even when they played it slow motion, it skips the whole impact for some reason. Last thing, there's a clip of Eddie being asked by a female reporter "How fast were you going? 40 50?" Eddie scoffs and says "More like 100, you don't do 50 in a Ferrari Baby".....dick.
+1 i actually watched that interview with that female reporter. eddie made it look like as if crashing the Enzo was a joke. look at his facial expressions. no sorry-ness in there, instead, he tried to make a joke with 'u don't do 50 in a Ferrari'. silly fool...i hope he realised what he has done.
How do we know that it actually happened? As I asked before: Have there been any video or photos of the car that did NOT originate from Griffin or the Redline movie people??? Any independent photos of the wrecked Enzo from any outside sources?
What exactly does a "ghetto" auto-x track look like and how does it differ from the fancy, auto-x course you must have at your local country club? FTR, Irwindale is a short, circle track. It's a concrete oval. They set the auto-x up in the middle and there are a couple of spots, like where this crash takes place, for photographers to stand inside barriers. I have no idea how good or bad this particular course was compared to other auto-x courses, but if you think that barrier was too close to the track, I wonder what you think of The Kink at Road America or the turn in to the road course off the oval at Cal Speedway or any corner at Long Beach. Or any oval course anywhere for that matter. I'm fairly certain that a great many professional drivers have smacked the wall at Daytona. C.
does anyone know for certain that the person is real. watch the video, no movement, no reaction, no flinching, even after the impact, i find that hard to believe
WT7 was a controlled demolition. (/rolleyes) The video was shown, and the guy (briefly) interviewed (questioned). When the video played, you could see the 'lack of vision' and even perception from using a small hand held camcorder.
