read. a little more to it than a backyard welded frame with a "not quite right" glass body and a 351 ford motor.
why should we care...? it's just a "better done" cobra. big whoop. i've seen kids werking at mcdonalds build mazdas that do the 1/4 mile in about 10 flat. woop-de-doo.
posted it up as it was something a bit different and looks bloody well done. if ya got something better to do go do it!
Nice E-Type Rob. And Ash, if you want to see some nice Jags, why don't you front up at Glenelg on Easter Saturday to see the Jaguar Drivers Club of Australia's Annual Concours and Display Day.
as above...if ya got something better to do go do it! i liked it, i posted it. u dont like it? stiff. how many cobra "replicas" have a transaxle??
i'd watch them drive down the street but not much interested in a "display". edit: i'll be at Ardrossen, crabbing.
Concours is on Easter Saturday. Jag revhead drive day is on Easter Sunday somewhere @ a Sadelaide race track.

point is, who cares? the Cobra actually IS a car i don't mind there being replicas made of it, but really, it's still just a Cobra replica. my old man made one in the 80's, 400hp 11sec 1/4 mile etc, awesome car, yada yada it's just a cobra replica. go read the kitcar-cheerleader crap from "Pantera" in this thread, it's pathetic ---> http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19010&page=43
It's not a Jag.. why post it here? I DO like it.. but no more or less than I like all the others. (I've serviced and driven a REAL 427 while at DK though... so a replica is even more of a let down when you actually know what a real one is like)
beautiful! had much to do with robnells in racing rob?? that yellow DB1 thing i like because it clearly isnt trying to be a replica, but more of a modern tech car using the style of the original. it does away with most of the chrome/period bits that many replicas have. its not trying to be anything beyond what it is.
id hazard a guess its just slightly more complex and higher tech than the one the old man built in the back shed in the 80s
leads me to believe u read none of the site forget what it looks like, i did, i was more interested in what was underneath
