Of course! I was just being sarcastic.....Just to be in the presence of an F40, F50, Enzo, FXX is enough to make me drool with delight.

Oh well, maybe I'll get an invite next year, or maybe I'll just sneak in thru the kitchen????

    :D:D

Umm no we broke up several months ago. Long story but I took her for granted and never realized it until she was gone. Now she's back on her feet and I still feel like ****. Needless to say I messed that up pretty bad. Not fun at all. :(

Hi everyone, I know this is not Ferrari-related but I feel it's important.

I work at IBM Canada and partnered with the BC Ministry of Health we're building a car (I will have the Ferrari shield all over it) participating in The Canary Derby to help raise funds for the BC Cancer Foundation. I'm doing this to honour my mom who died of cancer last July. Here are the details:

GenoLogics Life Sciences Software, VIATeC, The Vancouver Island Technology Community and BC Cancer Foundation are challenging the best and the brightest of the Vancouver Island technology community to design and build soap box cars that will be raced by CEO's to raise money for the Canary Foundation, an organization dedicated to funding early cancer detection and intervention. Funds raised through the June 16th Canary Derby will be donated to the BC Cancer Foundation, to support early cancer detection research. The Canary Foundation is supporting this work at the BC Cancer Agency, right here on Vancouver Island.

Please help support me in this important event by contributing generously. To make a donation online, visit my personal page.

It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause by making your tax-deductible donation online using the link below. Or, if you would prefer, you can send your contribution to the address listed below.

    Thanks for the excellent pictures.

By the way, anybody know how did the Brera end up there? Will it stay in Montréal indefinitely?

Once the Consul's mandate is over, he takes the car back to Italy with him.

Gord, here's a map for you. 401 west to # 40 exit (Communications Rd). south to Horton, turn left to Classic Car Drive & RM is there.
I know Gardelli Motors bought that car on Ebay for about 21K USD less than a year ago. The front and rear 328 clips do lessen its originality value, however, its still a Ferrari.

thx for the map and ESPECIALLY on the headsup on the value padi for the car, 21k us say 26/28k cdn , now 40k cdn wow that IS a markup!!
what woudl be a reasonable offer based on that, 32k?

anyway, thx for the map, so i "register" with you

i am in construction (architect by trade) so busy time of year but IF nothing comes up before and needing to be done after that weekend (a bit of an IF) then count me in. If i have to beg off, is that okay??? >> rather tell them more is coming than less so not too overbooked at RM and the restaurant!!

let me know if a "tenative" yes is acceptable
    thx
    still alookin gord

Yup, but don't these guys get special rules? For years I have seen a couple of FIAT's Kicking around here in Toronto from the Italian consulate just down the street from me (Ironically located in China Town lol).

I have to agree. Some of the Pcar guys drive all winter & might be there but my cab will be safely tucked away in the garage. Again. Sigh . . .

    Maybe next Saturday . . .

    Montreal Spring Run 2007

It seems as if these type of runs/drives are occurring all over the place, except of course Montreal. Looking over at the great success that the Ferrarichat group in Ontario had back in 2006 with there 2 great runs, I’ve decided that we need to start doing the same here in Montreal. Therefore I took the initiative to start one in Montreal since no one else would! I’ve talked to a couple of friends who own some exotic cars and they are interested in doing something like this as well. So would you guys be interested in doing something like this?

I’m shooting to do this sometime in the end of April or early May, all depending what works best for everybody. I was thinking we could cruise up to Mont Tremblant (via twisty back roads) and grab some lunch up there. If this seems to long of a run, we could choose a closer destination for lunch as well. If someone has a better idea, please don’t hesitate to tell us, I’m open for all ideas.

So for right now I will put down some general information for the run, but it can all very well change depending what you guys want.

    Date: Saturday May 19th, 2007
    Start Location: Montreal
    Lunch Location: Mont Tremblant
Start Time: Meet at 9:30am and leave starting location at around 10:00am
Lunch Time: 12:30-1:00pm That gives us up to 3 hours to get to our lunch destination.
Route: Will be send out to everyone via email/PM.

So, everyone who is interested, please post in this thread or contact me via PM with the following information:

    Name:
    Vehicle:
    Bringing Guest?:

You can also contact me via email at [email protected]

Please everyone give me your input and criticism, I want to make this a fun and enjoyable event for everyone.

Sounds good. Early May would probably be a better target. By then, the salt and grime on our wonderful Quebec roads should be gone, and some of the potholes should be filled up. ;)

And I might have the red car up and running.

Well of course we will only do it if the weather is good and the roads are completely free from salt. We can have a backup date in case of rain.
