    I just noticed the C4S makes a very metallic sound at low revs , esp when im taking off from standstill ..As if some part was loose in the exhaust ??

    Any ideas ?

    Yes, or take it to the dealer. If it's a 997, it's under warranty.

    Read the long term test report in the latest Motor Trend. They reported that something had come loose on both sides of the exhaust on their 997 tester. It was fixed by the dealership under warranty.

    Are you past the break-in miles yet? I can't say they are similar really, but I remember my WRX had a distinctly metallic/rough engine note under 2k rpms during the break-in period, and was sort of stuttery at low revs for the first 1500 miles. After that, it was nice and smooth.

    im at 8200 miles :D .

    I ll take it to the dealer . Do i have to take it to the dealer where i picked it ? (its 40 miles away..) or can i take it to the closest ( 2 miles ) .

    Should be ANY authorized dealer. It might be worth a look at Alldata to see the names of the TSB's ahead of time to help you find common faults as the mileage starts accumulating.
