Hey all...the 99 Diablo roadster shown in this link looks nice to me. Anyone seen it or have first hand knowledge of it? I do question the stated mileage by the dealer. He took the digital ODO reading of 9,xxx and converted it to miles 5,xxx. I searched out a previous discussion on this board about this subject and it indicated that MY99 was the change to digital ODO and trip counter...and at this point, it was in MILES, not KM. This is a 99, has the digital ODO, so I believe the number shown to be in miles. Don't want to start a debate on mileage again...just want your comments on the car. Apparently, there has been no clutch or tire work done on this car...at least not mentioned in the ad. Also, does this seem like a fair price? Thanks for whatever you have to add... http://www.domanimotors.com/used_vehicle_details.htm?vehicleId=88111b014046381e01bdfcdb0f21d9c3
Great looking car...But, WOW! $229,000?? Seems like lots and lots of money market must be on an upswing on roadsters.
You are correct about the 9,xxx being the actual miles. U.S. cars are as follows: pre-99 are in KM 99 are in miles no 2000s 01 in miles 02 in KM 03 and later in miles
You're right to question a car from that dealer and the price; check **************** for more info. Edit: Apparently I can't post the name of the other Lambo message board where there are multiple threads on that dealer, but the initials are L-T.
This one's nicer, (and cheaper) http://www.catsexotics.com/used_vehicle_details.htm?vehicleId=baa7a6fa40463874004c26839be8dc5b
I have always loved that color, second to Rosso Vic, but it seems a bit high and the rims have to go, that car is perfect with the stock rims. Just my 2 cents.
My main concern would be what damage has those after market wheels done to the VT?? OR was the front drive removed, if it was than no damage has taken place. Just my 2 cents...
The more I look at things with that car, the more I decide against it. I can't believe 8 owners!!! Plus, the price is sky high and I checked out the posts about the dealer on the other lambo site...sounds bad. The 99 yellow SV at MCI looks like a winner. Spent a long time on the phone discussing what was done and what will be done. Randy McCall seems to have a good handle on it and the price seems right. Plus, I don't have to spend money getting rid of those ugly wheels on the blue one! Thanks for all your comments. You guys really help...
Yeah no doubt. What is it with those wheels? Seems like 9 out of 10 Diablos and quite a few Murcis have those same wheels, typically with the spokes painted black......... I realize style is subjective and people will do what they wanna do, etc etc. But jeez. That's like trying to be different by doing what all the other noncomformists are doing. Great looking car otherwise. -R
oh... #6 Millennium is for sale. If I didn't have 2 cars already I'd buy it in a second even though I have one already. That damn car is so great.
So you found another perfect car that you will not buy. I'm sure that 10 years from now, you will still be on all different car forums asking about cars that you will never buy.
I admire your patience and restraint....I've gone through 3 Diablos, 1 Murcie, 3 Ferraris ad 2 Porsches since you started your search two years ago for "that" perfect car.
I have never found that perfect car because there is no such thing. And not having any exotic cars before like all of you, they all seem to have different things that appeal and don't appeal to me. Some of you probably drooled over lambos as a kid. That is fine, but I didn't know what they were until coming on here. The hot thing back then for me was a 1958 FI vette. So, think and say whatever you want. I'm learning my way thru these cars, largely in part to all the help and comments you guys provide. In my town, aside from the dealer's showroom, I have never seen a lambo, ferrari, or viper on the street. On the other hand, last time in London, I saw aston martins on every other block. If you look back, the yellow SV was one of the four I had picked out before. I just saw the blue one a week or so ago. Blue is my favorite color...but the 8 owners, ugly wheels, questionable dealer, and high price is steering me away from the blue one. But of course, if you multiple exotic owners decided to back off that car, there would be no comment. Lol...what a joke!
I would'nt buy a car from Domani personally, the price tells me that he wants to keep this car on display for a few years instead of selling it

Sometimes you have to view the rims in person as in my case I did not like the Loeharts in the dealer pictures but liked them in person.
I checked a car history or carfax that was included on a for sale site. It showed 8 owners, including Domani. The same info that you posted here. It did NOT say anything was wrong with the car and I didn't say that either. I just thought 8 owners was more than I wanted to be a part of. The price is very high, as others here have addressed. The wheels may have caused some questionable damage, as addressed by a few posts including one from Roy Cats. So, I don't know exactly how you meant your question about what do I know about the car. It is nice looking and would be excellent looking sans wheels. I am not aware of any faults with the car. Domani did mis quote the mileage since they took what was already in miles and converted it from km to miles. No issues here from me. Just feel there are nicer cars out there.
why do you not simply engage roy or joe sackey to find you a nearly new, essentially a car w/ less than 2k miles on it? those cars are out there and Joe or roy know where they are. the best way to understand these cars is not to kick the tires but to own them. sell it if it disappoints. spring is here and we need to see you in a car to begin to enjoy. pcb
