August 2006 - Sold to Seattle area dealer Roy Cats. Thereafter offered for sale repeatedly on EBay and on the dealer's website. As of 1/9/07 the dealer-owner is asking a sale-proof $595k.

I have to agree, it seems this site should be set up for info on cars not shots at the owners. Just my opinion. Exploiting prices of cars and how they are being advertised is just WRONG. I would hope that the owner of a car would at least have the opportunity to give the description of it. I think this is a matter that needs to be addressed by the LAMBORGHINI OWNERS pretty quick.

give miles, service history, if possible how many owners, etc.... to flat out put things that are shots makes NO SENSE. For one everyone in the WORLD probably knows Roy is a dealer so why put all the nonsense of how he is promoting his cars. again just my opinion.

I like to KNOW who came and saw the car, drove it, inspected it, viewed all the records and major restro service it recently had??

IMO and I know others that KNOW this car FIRST HAND would agree

ITS a TOP "S" Miura....ONE of the low mile limited owner ALL complete ones that I know of...

All books, tools, records, FROM DAY ONE!!

CAR was SHOWN and INVITED to Pebble Beach in its past history, it was good enough to be in a museum the last 2 decades or so prior to me getting it...

I CAN not even find a spec of dirt on the under side....

I think it is a BIT MORE than DECENT!!

 

why dont you contact glen kohut and talk to him..he is a nice guy and i am sure he will listen to you.

 

I think the person that had it entered should take care of it...

He's here and knows who he is...

After all I recall many a time saying he has something to do with the site, not sure what, but hell the front page is dedicated to him...

We are talking cars. LR is supposed to inform the community. If it's serving up bad information about cars that they obviously know nothing about, and on top of that they take a shot at him and make him sound like some shady fly-by-night Ebay dealer, I'd like to know about it.

If they can't get facts straight about a car that 's showroom quality, what are they going to say about some nobody Joe Dirt's car? It's seems to me they are rating the cars on hearsay and personal opinion without ever laying one eyeball on the cars.

I think it was a good idea of Roy to bring this to the surface.

 

... sorry, not my intention if that's how it read - I'm just REALLY tired of hearing people rant about things other than the cars that (I think) brought us all here in the first place. I thought twice about posting my last reply as I don't want to add fuel to any fire, inadvertently or otherwise.

While these fine automobiles unfortunately involve very large sums of money, (and this never seems to bring out the best in human nature) naive or otherwise I do not look upon any car as an investment. Probably why I'll never be able to afford one. But that certainly seems to be what these disputes are about - $.

And you're right, I am a rookie at all this internet yelling I've come across from the pros. I intend to stay that way.

Don't worry about me posting any more on this - I won't - as I said before, I'm here for the cars.

 

Good points all, but here is mine:
I just read the January 9th post. The information as posted is 100% correct. The car WAS sold to an area dealer Roy Cats - thats not a swipe, its a fact. The car WAS offered for sale repeatedly on EBay - thats not a swipe, its a fact. $595k is a sale-proof price for a P400S - thats not a swipe its a fact (world record price is $365k).

HOWEVER, entries on the Registry are random, humorous, witty, sarcastic, and sometimes even accurate! Thats why we invite all comers to correct us, or to write their own info of their car and the registry will post it as soon as possible.
Roy, if my entry was a bit too caustic, I apologize (Im getting good at that arent I?). But feel free to write up your OWN data on the car - which we encourage and as you can see some owners have done - rating the car as you see fit, and we will only be too happy to oblige and post that instead. The Registry's mission statement invites everybody who owns a car to do the same. I suppose when you leave it to us and we make the entry on a grumpy day, you never know what will happen

All-in-all, the Registry is far from perfect, but even the Lamborghini factory recognizes it. I think its helped with the market a bit too. Glen is underpaid (actually make that UNpaid!) so running it is a real chore. But its been 9 years in existence and as we have said, anyone who can do better should get started right now

You do also recall NEVER seeing this car in person, never driving it.......never anything with it other than selling it to me.......???

You do recall ASKING me to remove it from E-Bay and I declined??? Saying it would ruin the market for other cars???

While I am a member of this forum I don't often get the opportunity to visit and check the many postings. However, I was informed there was a thread that I might want to take a look at and so I feel the need to make a reply.

Roy, if you have a problem with an entry that is made on your car in the ILR then by all means contact me and let me know. I saw nothing wrong with the info as received by me and so I posted it. I did not take the comment to be a shot at anyone and still don't or I wouldn't have posted it. The ILR is not a forum for petty bickering, name calling or politics and will continue to try to offer a more objective view of these cars without the childishness that is so often found in forums like this. Better to talk about someone behind their back than discuss it, I guess! At least I don't subscribe to that type of behavior or you'd have a lot more to complain about from our site than a comment on your car.

If you would like the opportunity to help make the listing for #3787 more accurately reflect the car's true state then contact me.

As I cannot personally inspect and photograph each and every car in the world, and neither can any of you, I depend on enthusiasts and owners to help in supplying this. It is there to help enthusiasts and prospective owners of these cars who may be wishing to learn more about the various models and specific examples. Prices listed accurately reflect sale prices and asking prices at the date listed. And I do believe there was a date listed for the asking price mentioned regardless of what you are asking today.

More than a few dealers have used the site to help promote and advertise their cars for sale without so much as a "thank you" and many cars have changed hands because of mention being made of cars on offer at particular dealerships. Are you one of these? Or are you just upset that your dealership isn't being mentioned on the home page.

I should add that if you did not yourself find the ILR site useful in some way you would not have been on it in the first place. I expect that you will not be registering then when the ILR becomes a "members only" site in the next month or so.

This is nonsense! I would expect more from a dealer of high end cars!
