I recently got a 599. The car is unbelievable. The only problem is sound, I think a little to quiet. I had a 550 (with Tubi) prior. To me the 550 had a better sound. Has anyone with a 599 put a Tubi on and what do you think. Tubi makes two different types for the 599, if you put one on specify which.

How pathetic are you? I doubt you even have this car. If in fact you do own one maybe you should have the wax build up taken out of your ears. You probably listen to you tube on your computer to hear the engine noise. If your so interested in hearing your car I recommend getting a 430 spyder

By the way you spell, you sound like your not old enough to drive. This forum is for serious exchange of information, not for jealous internet geeks. I think you will find others like yourself on my space. By the way I think I saw you drive by me (see attachment). Sounded good.

I would be interested to listen to a clip of the 599 with a tubi, but you must be deaf man!!!!

That car is LOUD!!! You rev the thing and people hear you a mile away.

The 599 isnt quiet at all. I wouldnt put a tubi on one as the sound is about perfect for a car such as the 599. It cant be as loud as a euro stadale.

The 599 does not need a Tubi or any other OEM exhaust

I agree. The car and the exhaust is perfect as is. I have tubi exhaust on a 360 and love it but the 599 is just right for my use and taste without an aftermarket exhaust.

The best way to void your warranty on a 599 or 430 is to stick a Tubi on it.

You only void the warranty insofar as exhaust related issues are concerned. If there was a major failure of an engine, transmission, brake or bodywork component the factory will take care of it under warranty. I have first hand experience of this type of situation. It is simply not worth it for the dealership to attempt to stiff you on the basis that the car is 'modified' when all that has been altered is the exhaust muffler.
Now, if you remove the cats, install straight pipes, disconnect the vacuum hoses etc there could be a case made that you have messed with the engine in some way. But a muffler exchange only won't cause you any warranty grief.

Back to the original poster - I don't believe that any reasonable person will find the standard exhaust in a 599 too quiet. It has a perfect pitch and volume. So I seriously doubt that the original poster is for real, IMVHO.

I think it sounds just fine stock, I wouldn't even dream of putting a Tubi on mine, when it comes, hopefully in Aug/Sept

BTW, anybody order quilted leather headliner? Any pics?

The tubi sounds great on the 599. I heard one the other day at Ferrari of Silicon Valley..It was loud but no worse than some of the 360's and 430's around..

If you like it go for it..If I run into the Scott and his 599 this week I will get his number for you.

Real happy. Prior to the 599 I had 430 and a 550 with a Tubi. My point is compared to those two the 599 is very quiet (inside the car, which I do like). I have only had the car a short time and have not let someone else drive it, to hear the sound from outside. Because your opinion differs from mine I don't own the car?

When the exhaust butterfly's open at 4K the sound improves significantly. You might check with your dealer about bypassing the closure of the flys so that they stay open all the time. That would certinaly wake up the sound at lower revs but IMO it might be a bit annoying as well.

i havent heard a 599 with Tubi yet, but if its anything like a 550 M , it will be too loud and not a beautiful sound IMO.

Try bypassing the valves , it really changes the noise , at least in the CS and Enzo.

I reckon a Tubi would be a good idea. Makes an Enzo sound much deeper so I'm guessing it does the same with this car. That said I've also heard the stock car, sounds great but not as loud as a 430.

There is one 599 with tubi in Monte Carlo, it sounds carzy, very loud. Impressive... Like an Enzo with straights pipes.

looks like the exhaust alternates between the middle two pipes and the outer 2 pipes when the guys revs it, is that common?
