I have a friend that wants to start taking Detoxykall, Im trying to tell her not to but she wont listen. According to her her sisters doctor said that it was safe and to go for it. All I can find on it seem to be no answers or german. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this or know possible side affects. If the stuff works great but I dont want her to screw her body up to try some crap. Any advice would help regarding detoxykall would be helpful.

My sister-in-law started taking diet pills about 15 years ago and she's been stoned ever since. It's sad and she'll die at a young age - likely before she see's 50. I've heard this same story time and again. Just don't do it.

If you want to lose weight, shut your pie hole and burn some calories. All a diet pill does is trick your body into doing same.

Good point. But, for almost everyone who is overweight it's much easier said than done.

i looked into diet pills, hydroxicut(sp) mainly, but recently decided that if i'm going to lose weight it's worth it to do it the old fashioned way. i've been working out a lot more recently, but the one thing that i can't stress enough is to quit soda (although this hasn't necessarily worked for me, :()

Shes seems to be really hard headed about the whole thing. She is one to say I want to eat whatever I want I don't want to exercise and I want to drop 35 pounds, all I need is this little pill. One thing she said last night was if it has any side affects I'll be old before it affects me, so you can see what I'm dealing with here.

I will get that movie viper suggested and have her watch that.

Do that! If she still wants to take diet pills after that, let her!

Her sister's doctor examined and treated her sister, not her. She needs to talk to her own physician. For your edification, you may want to also run it by a pharmacist.

I took Xenedrine EFX my Freshman year of college and saw results because it suppressed my appetite and gave me a ton of energy. The results weren't that significant. I actually lost a LOT of weight with Weight Watchers and hitting the gym like a maniac. I will also mention that when I stopped using the diet pills I had a headache for a WEEK. I assume it's from the caffeine withdrawal. I do not recommend them.

    Repeat after me:

There is no such thing as a diet pill that works. NONE. ZERO. ZILCH. If there were, their wouldn't be any fat doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.

Of the few pills that were thought to work, most have been pulled and litigated into oblivion due to side effects.

Professionally speaking, the only thing that we recommend is Weight Watchers. And that in itself requires a huge mental and physical committment.

You want to lose weight? Eat right and exercise. Otherwise get gastric bypass (which, has fatal risks but works).

Agreed. I lost almost 100lbs on it. Once I was motivated the hardest part was staying dedicated. I'm glad I did. :)

So does cocaine, crack, amphetamines, speed, etc... Heroin also tends to work.

Without trying to be funny or sarcastic, the quality of my life has increased in leaps and bounds beyond what it was before adderall. It's not the drug that makes me better, it's the fact that my brain isn't a tangled, complicated, unworkable or unmanagable mess anymore.

I'm sure somone will chime in and tell me that I'm weak, or that I simply have bad behaviors, or other common criticisms to my condition. No big deal...I thought the same before I finally sought help.

In my case, massive food consumption was a nasty side-effect of my "issue." I don't expect anyone to understand, and I do expect hostility towards what I'm writing. But hey, just my 0.02.
