    ???

    Kit car??

wheels look really strange, little hard to tell from the photo, but I've never heard of a convertible conversion on a dino.

That's an Alfa Romeo Dino. I saw it up in Monterey. And I also saw it on a flat bed when coming back to L.A. from that event. Very cool car. I don't remember too much details about it. I'd have to review my videos.

Do you mean the Alfa Romeo DIVA?

I love that car, but the front end is different

Not the DIVA. This car was in Monterey at the Italian Concorso. It is an ALFA ROMEO DINO. If I remember correctly, it used the 2.0l motor from the 206. That's all I can recall. I'll try to find some pics of the show online somewhere.

I only saw this car briefly but I'm pretty sure the tail end said "Dino II". I had never seen a convertible Dino and am not fimilar with "Dino II" ... which is how my question ended up here. Thank for the replies.

It IS one of these kits with I suspect some Alfa badges and possibly a late alfa V6 with a transaxle.

    NOT an Alfa Dino.

One car exists that is a tube-frame, one-off racer built for club events by an engineer. It looks a little like a Dino and has a midengine 2.5 or 3 liter Alfa V6. It's now owned by a fellow in the Los Angeles area, where I saw it at a show. But I'm pretty sure the car in the photo is NOT it.

The car on the trailer looks like one of the kit cars--those alloy wheels were commonly available in the 60's for Volkswagen-chassis based kit cars.

Not just a sawed Dino, look at the thicker windshield post.
