fantastic. is that a US built bertram or a scoresby built boat? yours?

must be early...youd be hard pressed to find a Berty 28 without diesels these days.

was checking them out on the net and a few detail differences....early US boats no bow sprit for one.

    timeless things, love em.

Scoresby built circa 1977,photo about 1980 odd,in those days they had a much thicker hull then todays boats.Fathers boat called Elsie Sherrin, now down at sandringham.

Early 25s had a flat frontal area less head room.

couldnt say mate, through my scouring of boatpoint i havent seen any 28's of recent years, so id say mid 90s maybe? earlier..? not sure...

shame to lose it IMO as its a great boat and not quite as BIG as a 32.

who knows, 23 relaunching this yr (as a 24) so maybe we'll see 28 again someday.

up til mid 90s standard issue was 5.0 freshwater cooled...95 ish onwards 5.7 350 fresh cooled....we would aim for a 350.

were also avail in diesel, but very low takeup rate...must have been $$

    sorry missed the "i" there

yeah the 4.3 LX is a great engine..240hp apiece i think, plenty of mumbo in the 26

id be getting twin 4cyl diesels though. more torque, bigger prop, quicker onto plane, and better economy
