that elise is a track car, pure and simple. i can tell you this-if i owned that beautiful 430 spyder, i would never drive the elise except on a track. why would i ever take an elise on the road when i had an f430? if the point you are making is to extole the virtues of the elise as a track car, then i understand you. but if you are saying that it is a worthy road option to the ferrari, then i totally disagree.

To answer some questions. The lift is a Bend Pak 9000 lb. lift , installed it about 3 months ago, very happy (American Made and great quality, not the cheapest).
I have only had the car since this last Wed., have put about 60 miles on it. I am being very careful, and trying to get the feel of the car. On the Elise, heres how I compare. The Elise is a large go-kart, very fun to drive, hard ride, no power steering, little padding on the seats. It is just fun. Driving the Ferrari is something out of this world, I have never experienced anything like it, the seats, the power, the sound. I plan on keeping both, unless I see I am not running the Elise, right now the 430 is the only thing leaving the garage!!

I guess I just appreciate cars on a different level than most. I get just as big a smile driving my Isetta as I do my Viper. And as soon as Cavallino motors (Martin) calls and tells me he has found the car I've been looking for I will have that same smile in my new Ferrari. What makes one a more worthy road option that the the other is in the eye of the driver. When I get my Ferrari none of my other cars will go. I will just appreciate each one for what it is.
