actually its to difficuld to say an exact price without seeing the car, my guess is $177.500 ? when it is as they say a nice price for such a special car! I mean, try to find another one..
That is what I faced, when looking for a S1. There are just not that many choices available. What is interesting, as the price of these cars increases, more and more cars appear forsale. When these cars were below 100K, nobody was interested in selling. - The same holds true for the LP 400. With eBay, it is difficult to know what will actually happen at the end. Someone may want the car badly, and bring their scharfschutzengewehr to the last few moments of the auction. The bidded price can increase by five figures, in a matter of minutes. With eBay potential sales, exotic car auctions, do not always turn out well for the seller. Often times, the "buyer/dreamer" will simply walk away from their obligation of purchasing the car.
Good one. Could you be a little more precise Marcel? Seriously I think thats a decent estimate. Now the one you tried to buy in Germany was made sale-proof by the seller's $244k ask. Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com www.joesackey.com
Looks like a buyer will beat me to it on Monday. Good luck to them. The search continues... maybe someone is up there is guiding me toward the white / white S2* that is my first choice. * 78-79 = S1 Lowbody 80-81 = S2 Lowbody 81-82 = S3 Raised Roof

Walter, can you tell us which Countach LP400 this is in the movie Mr Billion (1977)? It has the Italian plate: "RomaH25873" Red with white interior and black seat inserts. Joe, yep, got it! I`ll try but it take some time! Down there in bella Italia they love to eat pasta more instead of digging in ol`paperwork! Ciao! Walter
Well I note that the rear wheels dont quite fill out the arches as much as they should, which was always the case with LP400 modified to LP400S without upgrading the wishbone suspension to straight parallel links as an LP400S should have. Then too look at the rear tail light reflector/surrounds....no small rectangular reflector beneath the brakelight. That is definately an LP400-only feature. If this is an LP400, they filled the roof tunnel in..... Interesting car nonetheless. Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com www.joesackey.com
Still in its original livery with just 7,300km/4,300miles on the clock from new! Fresh from $60k US mechanical rebuild. Nice to see the original books still with it - on most cars I come across these items are pilfered along the way. Running-in (In Roddaggio) sticker still affixed inside the windscreen, un-modified in any way. Not perfect, but a nice car. Another low-mileage LP400 is this EX-NY Auto Show car with 5,300km/3,180 miles on the clock. Flamboyant show interior... just sold (appropriately) to a Museum collection. Joe: Saw your black baby yesterday. There's a bid hole in the back. You're going to need a lot of gerbils to put back there to push that thing along. Looks very nice. Black on black, it's a very hot car (in more ways that one). What's the ETA? Alberto
LOL. Very good & thanks. Im cracking the whip to get it back this April, which is not bad considering I had originally given myself a goal of last Christmas! Trouble was, I forgot to share that goal with Gary :-0 I have thrown all the invoices in the car's file and Im afraid to add them up, so I will not Did you see the red LP400 in the showroom? Joe www.joesackey.com
I always try to not look at the invoices, it hurts too much. Yes, I drooled all over that LP400. I want it bad, just don't have the coin to get it as much as I would love to. I told Gary: "If I hit the lottery, I'll call you". One can dream. You think he'll accept indentured servitude? Alberto
