Hello, congrats to all these great cars, I'm starting a 1/24 scale kit of the Risi-entered 360 Modena at Le Mans 2003. Basis is the Renaissance Transkit for the Tamiya Modena. Unfortunately the delivered wheels are not realistic. Does anybody have an idea where I can get wheels that look like seen here? regards, Till Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just got done putting this back together. Added tan interior & challenge rear grille. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks really nice.Don't get this the wrong way, but just a little advice. When you paint the interior, wait a day or two and then spray the whole thing with cheap old Testors Dull cote.It will take the shine from whatever paint you are using and give it the perfect "leather" effect. This includes the unpainted plastic parts like the dash, which will no longer look plastic. If you want to go a step further and make the seats like they have been used, then wait a couple of days and rub your finger over the part of the seats that get the most use on a real car.The oil in your skin will rub on the raised surfaces(kind of like on the real car) and it will create the effect of a realistic Used interior.Be careful with the drying time since enamel paints dry waaayyyy slower than lacquers.(yes I know that it says lacquer on the container but trust me) I hope this simple tip can be of help to everyone on the chat. Keep building them and Good Luck! Michael
Cool, thanks. I know it doesn't look the greatest but I'm happy with it. I'll go look for the dull coat & give it another shot. The paint I used was called flat brown, it still may not be cured as you say. I've always been better with the mechanical stuff (see post #35 in this thread) & am working on the pretty part of it.
Hey man, I f'd up so many models in my life 'till I figured out what works and what doesn't, that I feel like crying. But you know PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.I still mess up every once in a wile. The important part is not to give up, because it is a great hobby. I try to share anything I know because I would never had known it if it wasn't for all the people before me who thought me.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the silver 550 Maranello on the last pictures has the decals for the speed-record car from I believe Michigan. However the correct car was Grigio Tittanio and it had black interior with red racing seats.Just giving you heads up for the next time, before you waste another set of decals.
you maybe correct, but I just don't want to clarify it. I only have 1 spare UT F550 Silver without box. So, simply put it up and I can go ahead to next models, there are 15+ or more decal sets for F360 Challenge to go.....
I got a FXX with black wheels today....I will get a Elite 599GTB America Blue tomorrow hopefully. Image Unavailable, Please Login
