So how long do you think before this Hamilton kid gets a win? What is gonna be interesting is to see if he out shines Jensen, and it's already looking like he is. But time will be the true test to see if this kid is the real deal. Jensen sure did look impresive when he first started, and then the fire faded out. So let's see when happens.

If alonso wasn't around I'd say real soon! Really amazing job by lewis I am speechless at how well he held up under that kind of pressure.

    Massa...what can I say... =(

    Great race by Kimi again.

All this talk about "could we have Schumi back" , hopefully everyone means trading Schumi for Massa, because there is no way Schumi would have done better than Kimi.

Absolutely disappointing race apart from Kimi's last few laps and Massa's tries to pass Hamilton at the beginning. Maybe they were a bit too brave and foolish but he was trying and trying hard. I liked that. Later on I was nearly sick with the guys' passive following of the car in front. Not even a shade of effort to pass. Ehh... what a shame.

I'm surprised he cracked. He was just pushing so hard. I think it was a combination of him wanting to get by and Kimi pushing the issue from behind. I just hope he can brush it of.

Alright guys it's time to call it a night have to go get a flat tyre fixed tomorrow morning so I can drive back to Austin.

Pretty exciting race, at least in the first stint.
-Too bad Massa couldn't pull through
-Glad that Kimi held the car together
-Still can't stand Alonso's victory 'celebrations'

Hopefully we can look forward to a better result next weekend for the guys in red and hopefully some development updates for the F2007.

    Night,
    Kyle

You've got to be kidding. Lewis had a slower car than both Ferraris and Alonsos car and less experience than the three drivers around him. His defense was beyond good, it was as outstanding as his pass in the first corner of the last race. That's talent.

By becoming the second British driver since 196whatever to podium twice in his first two races he has already outshown Jensen.

i'm sorry i had to go offline. the rain was terrible. i live about 30 mins away from the circuit. i'm really surprised it didn't rain there. it rained for a short period of time here, say, 15 mins, but it was heavy.

sorry i dissapointed most of u all when i had to go offline.

Gotta admit that the guy is in one of the best cars on the grid.

    But then so is Massa.

Another good race for him from start to finish. Very composed and didn't slip up once, passed both Ferraris and set the fastest lap time.

Bad move by Massa...3 times. Then a fourth by deciding to waffle around the back and conserve gas.

    Shame Nico's car broke.

i'm really disappointed in the outcome of the race. of cos, i'm happy for Lewis, he drove like a veteran, and he answered post race ques like a pro. he even said he tricked massa into outbraking himself.

lots from just after his 2 race experience.

overall, i gotta admit that this was one of the most boring races ever. hardly any overtaking.

I'm livid. that was just a pathetic drive by Massa... McLarens had only one strategy...jump out early and hold on... Not only did Massa make a no-no with letting FA get him at turn one...he was too busy to notice Hamilton coming up...at the same time keeping Kimi from doing anything behind him. not only did Massa screw up his race, he'd screwd up the race for Kimi, and the Scuderia. Massa couldn't win starting from pole, screwd up, and gave a 'midpack' driver's performance. this race was gifted to the silver cars...all the the things that they needed to happen--go right--to beat the faster Ferraris (albeit not as fast as melbourne) went perfectly. i hate these races. all i ask is that a driver gets the most out of his car. fights to the end. Massa once again didn't even come close to getting the most out of that car. Kimi, on the other hand, took the fight to the very end..ailing car be damned! i'm so enraged by Massa's drive...it's just so hard to swallow right now...soooooo dissappointing...

as much as i hate to admit it, i gotta agree with u that Massa c*cked up the race for the Scuderia. he went wheel to wheel with Kimi, when i think he should have let Kimi thru, and let him challenge Lewis.

but massa blocked kimi and ended up outbraking himself. frustration, disappointment describes my day.

i hope they'll do better next weekend. i think Nico was genuinely strong t/out the weekend. he outshone his more experienced teammate and drove a solid race.

edit : i can see Lewis's 1st win coming along very soon.

it was simple...Massa's screw ups at the very beginning changed the dynamics of the race. not just one mistake....MANY! Hamilton drove great. held up the Ferraris enough early on to give FA a win he shouldn't have gotten--and easy drama free win. this is what is called a ClusterF@#$&. they stole this one from the Scuderia--which must now regroup. no 'tremendously improved', 'championship caliber' driver would lose the race for himself, and cost it for his teammate like that. and to think it didn't even rain! crap drive, period.

People are *****ing about Massa, but at least he TRIED to get by. Kimi just wandered around behind Hamilton until Lewis turned down the revs. I don't believe for a second that Kimi had a sick car.

What a boring, boring, boring race

you've got to be kidding... you're giving Massa credit for 'trying' but dismissing Kimi?? Massa's mistakes, they were just awful! enough will all the bs already...two races in, and 'walking the walk' has shown us who is Ferrari's #1 driver...yes, inspite of all the warm feelings and all the wishful thinking towards Massa..it's the Finn who's getting paid 250 million. he was the one who salvaged a podium. the man that started on pole faded in a pathetic drive.

I haven't read the site interviews yet (and couldn't understand a thing Kimi monotoned out in the live interview), but ...

I'm wondering if those floorboards weren't more important than Ferrari let on.

If Kimi was losing that much just from a sick engine, then they should (and probably would) have changed it. I doubt it was all engine, though. Hamilton was pushing 110% when he needed it. Heck of a driver. Pity he's in the "other" car.

Speed channel went to commercial, so I didn't see Massa's first stop. Did they adjust his wings?

By lap 15 I thought they'd bring Massa in early to give him more wing ....
... or to give him the Heimlich. :p

But I can't help but think this may be signs of the Ferrari team losing the bubble with the loss of key staff.

Either they did something that messed up the cars after qualifying, or they turned Kimi's engine down and told Massa, "It's all up to you". Either one could be marked down as a team goof.

    So:

When (not if) Hamilton wins a race in the McLaren, do they play the British anthem twice, play it for twice as long, or just play the one anthem exerpt for both? ;)
