Pininfarina numbered the bodies of 400's using a different number than the Ferrari serial number.

Does anyone know where this number is located?

A follow up to my question:

The series 1's went up to Pininfarina body # 1225 with series 2 cars starting at # 1226.

Hmmmm a few days and no replies.

Looks like I'm not the only guy who doesn't know the answer.

Kind of funny, I had the center console lifted today on my car to take a peek at a few things.
I also removed one of the door panels.

Written on both of them in marker were the numbers "1226"

Interesting subject for us number freaks. I'll remove some of the panels to see what I find. This is just as exiting as finding a build sheet under the seat iin a muscle car!
What do you mean by series 1 and series 2?

    Major differences between the 2:
    Seats
    Wheels
    Electronics
    Grille
    Center console

I don't have my notes on this computer so one of the other Fchatters will have to help me out here.
There was a model change (series 1 vs. series 2) around 1981 or 1982.
