Just thought we could start a thread about the track days folks are planning on attending. Post up! -N
YES!!!! Look at COMSCC for fun days and time trials. SCCA, if you have a SCCA prepped car. See list at http://www.enjoythetrack.com/race_schedule/
I was looking at possibly joining up with these guys. Seems like they do a lot of track days. http://www.scda1.com/
http://www.thetrackschedule.com/ BMW and porsche clubs have tons of events across their different region clubs PCA rennsport for canadian tracks porsche and ferrari cars only and PCA NER any cars welcome
Call PDA and explain to them your reason for not showing. LIE and dont inform them that you couldnt get the stripper to leave. They might allow you to apply the fee to a later event. Its worth the try!!!
Steve -- I'm sticking with HPDEs for the time being, I have a long way to go before I feel confident enough to actually race. Let's keep a list of clubs who host track days in the NorthEast SCDA - http://www.scda1.com PDA - http://www.pdadrivingschool.com/ BMWCAA - http://www.bmwcca.org/ Keep them coming. -N
I'm scheduled for Pocono with PDA Sat/Sun July 21/22, long courses. They use much of the Nascar speedway, so it's high-speed heaven from what I hear. I'd love to get to the Glen at some point as well, I know it is a trek though. I have a crazy travel schedule this summer, so most og the PDA & scda dates don't work for me/ INterested in any other clubs I can run with...
http://www.comscc.org/ has Day 1 as usual DE, while day 2 is a few sessions of DE and then time trials. With a time trial they line up 3 or more cars (depending on track size) and delay each car's start by 20 seconds or so. This way you have open track and not wheel to wheel racing. Your best time out of three laps is recorded. Very safe and simple form of 'racing.' You could argue (rightly) the time trials are SAFER than DE as very few cars are on track and they are spaced out over a time period.
SCDA has a two day even there in june i think. If you check their website it will give you the exact dates
