Kirk Kerkorian, the billionaire investor, is making another effort to buy out the Chrysler Group. His current offer is $4.5 billion (or $4.7 billion, depending on where you read it) for the acquisition of the company from Daimler-Chrysler AG. Kerkorian and Lee Iacocca had tried to buyout Chrysler back in 1995 for estimated sum of $23 billion, but failed. Kerkorian promises that if he purchases Chrysler, he will insure good relations with the UAW in a new effort to rebuild America's third largest automaker.

Sorry, that car is just hideous.

If Kerkorian sees that photo, he'll probably drop to $4.4B. The company is beyond repair anyway.

I think there is hope for the big 3 or 2.5. This is probably a step in the right direction. IMO, the unions are the biggest obstacle in the ressurection of the American car industry.

That is an embarassingly ugly car - looks like the love child of a Charger and a Chevy Malibu.
