The seat on the left is made by Recaro for Porsche and typically known as the 996 GT3 Euro racing seat and was not available on any US spec. cars. Many 996 GT2,3 owners have replaced their US standard or 'Sport Seat' with these seats. They are available in composite or CF shells. The seats pictured in the white GT2 are US standard 'sport seats' available with composite backs painted drk grey, (standard) or optional leather or composite painted to match exterior body color.

 

Thanks for the background. Everyone I know who has had a gt2/3 had that seat. I figured it was the sport seat option.

One of the best seats in the market, I wish they have a lower seating stance.

 

Agreed. Best non FULL RACE seat I have ever been in. Double on the lower stance, I have seen people ditch the slider and build them on a stationary base. About as low as possible without just going from bolt->floor->seat.

 

Yeah. The slider has been an issue in most cars, IMO I have found the sliders have not been set right in most cars. and when it also comes to the seating cushion just makes the seat to high.

Shoulder support on corning is not all that great.
