    Interesting design. The dashboard layout is similar to Alfa 1900s of the period. I think it would look better in a brighter color.

    A much more attractive color combination. The olive green the car is painted today does nothing for it.

    I owned this car many years ago. Sorry to say its bigger than it looks in photos, and thus not terribly attractive in the flesh, in my humble opinion. It was red when I got it, so I changed it to white over burgundy, which helped some.

    0359 has a big brother, a 375 America convertible, 0353EU/AL. It looks better on the long chassis and top down. 0353 used to be owned by my friend Joe Fitch in SoCal, so we had a chance to compare.

    0359 was the second 250GT (after 0357)--a time of great things in Modena!

    I remember seeing it like that at Kroymans before restoration, great shot!

    I also remember this car vividly because of a funny anecdote. When I went to university in Eindhoven the busroute I used passed the upholstery shop of Bernard Cools. He did most interior restorations of the Kroymans collection.

    One day sitting in the bus when passing the upholstery shop I saw s/n 0359 being unloaded from a flatbed truck. I couldn't believe my eyes and immediately pressed the button for letting me out on the next nearby busstop! People around me had noticed me jumping out of my seat and I overheard them wondering outloud that I had stopped the bus just to see that strange looking car being unloaded! I didn't care ofcourse, any true tifosi would have done the same :)

    Hi Peter

    Yes, I have always enjoyed all the cars that my brother has bought and sold through the years.In the eighties all the new Ferrari's we sold to the States needed some mileage on the tacho, so we drove them always , sometimes trips from the south of France to Holland.
    My best trip was driving a 250LM from Nice to Modena.
    But I am still enjoying driving ferrari's these days, like driving my 512BB against a modern Murcielago on a sunday morning at full speed to Franchorchamps a couple of months ago.

    Hello Ed,

    Today I spoke with Mr. Rubbio who did the bare metal repaint on this car. When they took the silver and red layers off the original colour was the one on the car today. So it's back to its original colour scheme (including the white vinyl roof).

    Yup. Car belongs to the Kroymans Collection. Kroymans is the Dutch Ferrari importer. Pics in the opening post were taken in the Kroymans Ferrari building.

    i havent the same point of view. i like this car for many reason.
    at first, because is special car made by Ferrari and it must to have
    a particular attention. in second time, because this car was made for
    Liliane de Rethy, and i like to see a woman driving a car, i have much
    admiration for them driving a special car like a Ferrari.

    I know this is an older thread (my apologies), but I'm especially interested in the red car on the passenger side of the thread's subject car. This red car is a Vignale bodied car - my Dad owned a 250 Europa (0313EU) with the same body. Anyone know this car in the background of these pics?

    I believe you are referring to the 375 America Vignale s/n 0327 AL.
