There are screws that hold it in place. You will need to lift up the rubber door seal to see the screws. After you remove the screws pull the kick plate towards you. There may be some double sided tape on the bottom of the kick plate. Other than that, the screws are what keeps it in place. If you intend to use the same kick plate again don't force it off. It's nothing but sheet metal, and bends pretty easy. One more thing, you don't need to remove the rubber Ferrari strip that is on the top, there isn't anything under it holding the plate down.

Where can those sills be found???? New ones I mean. Seen some in carbon that looks nice. Maybe would be ok in anodised aluminium as well.

The two major carbon fiber sponsors on Fchat have them here in the United States.

I have them in my car (from a different supplier, because I didn't know any better...) and they're gorgeous.

Yeah - my 348 has a plastic covering on the driver's side and normal rubber on the passenger side. I assumed they came with a plastic protective cover when new. I've enquired before if anyone on this site bought a 348 from new but with no responses to the above query as yet.

I'm not sure I understand the above posts. The rubber strip is a separate item, 62172100. ~ $40.00

Of the rubber, or metal sill, or the carbon sill?

Use caution! When you try to remove the originals, they are glued in and will probably bend and need replacement.

FYI, the bodyshop tried to remove mine when I was getting paintwork done and both sides bent when they were removing them...

My drivers side has a small dent in it and a small spot of rust. I would love to take them off and redo/repaint them. If they are hard to get off without damaging them I guess I'll pass on taking them off. :(
