Residents of Laguna Niguel have perhaps become accustomed to the high-pitched howl of Miuras racing up Pacific Island Drive at strange hours.
One of those cars is the Ex-General Motors Miura P400, the very same car that was ordered in the dead of the night by John DeLorean & Zora Duntov (so we are told) to inspire the design guys at automotive giant GM.
Lovingly restored, this car never strays too far from home but is used often enough to keep it running sweetly.

Probably the coolest photo of a Miura I've seen yet.

    I'll bet you have more.

No, I don't mind. Feel free to go ahead.
Was originally red, then orange, is being restored now and will be repainted orange again. Photo was taken at René Wagner's Garage Fastline Limited, an Aston Martin restorer in Fällanden, suburb of Zurich, Switzerland.
    My regards

What # is that red jota you posted? Is that #4943, I thought it had a white interior? One of the best pics I have seen of the miura!

Thank you. Everyone seems to love the pic. It was only taken a week ago.

It is not chassis number 4934 which does indeed have the white interior with black dash (Im sure you meant 4934 as '4943' is non-existent) - also very handsome.
It is in fact 4892, and the color is referred to as "Rosso Granada Metallizzato". Very 1970s flamboyant! The interior is referred to as "Tabacco" (brown to you & I. LOL), and unlike some of the others, this car has an authentic period factory declaration signed by Ubaldo Sgarzi himself stating that its was built by the factory as a "SV Jota" in July 1971 during regular Miura production. Hidden away in Japan for the past 35 years, we shall see it California cruising soon.

Today I made a pilgramage to visit the Miura maven himself Gary Bobileff at his San Diego facility. My spirit has been elevated...

I saw 4870 whose factory papers state that they made this car "Per Lo Scia Di Persia" (for the Shah of Iran), 5080 a very late split-sump & AC SV that seems better every time I see it, and 4926 another SV also finished in "Blu Notte Metallizzato". They are pictured below respectively.

PS - In the last image in the middle of the trio of cars is the one-and-only Miura Roadster...

Ok, thanks. The color of that car really is gorgeous, definitely one of my favorites. I noticed that this car was first not on the list of original Jota's on the lamborghiniregistry. So next to the Bob Wallace Jota, there have been made 6 "original" Jota's (or SVJ's) in total, right?
The one in these pics might be the same car. . .

EDIT: I found what I think are some more recent pictures of this car, it now has gold wheels. Here: http://www.supercarnet.jp/LamborghiniWEB/Jota.htm
