Greg I think they are not selling them, I did not see them yesterday. Not thre just looked.[/QUOTE]

    You are right.

    maybe-choose only one:

    a) all the FChat guys cleaned them out
    b) they took my e-mails quite seriously about their fraudulent activity.
    c) Jimmy bought all of them

They will probably show up again.

    I'll call Wynn tomorrow.

    I think it's "c"

Thanks, I called Wynn's and ordered a key. $190 + shipping. In 5-7 days I may be asking a few questions on inserting my own key! Actually 1 quest now that I didn't see posted above - how do you get the red plastic cover off without damaging it? Do you carefully pry it off with a razor blade or something?

You will find a small rectangle next to the key entry point the allows you to insert a coin or tip of ta screwdriver to ply it off.

    Here's what you do.

The red cover that has the emblem has a slight notch in the corner. I used a bread knife sideways (so I had a bit more surface than just the tip) to very carefully lift that cover off. I then used a thinner knife to remove the bottom cover. If you are careful you will not mark the plastic.

You need an all metal flat key. No rubber cover, etc. A good key shop can look it up. It's an ILCO key I believe for Alfa, Fiat, etc.

You'll need to cut the ears off the width of the main key. Be careful here so you do not scratch the key. If you use a vise, put a small block of wood on each side of the key. I made a wooden jig.

Then be very careful cutting through the black plastic housing. Do it a little at a time fitting the key each cut until it goes in slightly snug.

You can read what I above posted for the rest of the deal.

If you are too chicken, let me know.

    Absolutely correct.

Use J & B Weld and for you, Martin, it's close to home. J & B is from Texas!

Your car is looking pretty good, Martin.

We know it's the carpets that did the trick!

Thanks for the detail Greg; I already have 2 Ilco keys cut since my sole F-key was starting to bend. I'll vote for not kicking you out of the 355 forum :) :) :)

Chicken? ha, no way! I just re-installed all my center console pieces, steering cover and instrument cluster (fixed F1 gear indicator). Let me at it!!

The key is not glued but either press fit in or molded in.

Put the key in a vice and gradually rock it left and right, and the key will rotate out. It's like a partial "J" configuration.

Jay, don't listen to Chris! He's smoking something funny.

Thanks for your support. Now you go vote 2-3 X's also in the 355 section. I need all the support I can get.

Wait until his tan Porsche/Rambler carpets arrive tomorrow at his store!

    You don't!

Say, are you not in the wrong section?

Maybe we should start a poll to see if you should be banned from the 360 section?

You are correct I have had several compliaments and I talked of the high quality standards and mentioned that the Sales and Exec staff leave a little to be desired in so much as they are being banned on one section of Fchat sounds like a real undesireable thing.

Yes, we have to blame Chris for that. He only has a 348!

So now he's trying to cause trouble here in this section.

You see, Chris is my 1/2 brother twice removed. The only problem is the removal is never permanent, and, as a result, I have to endure his wrath!

We really need to send him back to the home for a spell. Are there some goods ones near you in Texas?

uuggghhh! i'm so pissed. i finally took some time out to go by Ace hardware to get my blank key cut and they cut the key just fine, but their clamp put 2 gashes into my key! i didn't even know what to tell the kid who did the cutting. anyone know if i can use some kind of touch up or something on it? and of course, he had to damage the side with the sheild...
