    Thought I would pass this on. Car has just been serviced. Mileage is in the 20k. No affiliation with the seller...

    I'm unfortunately not where I want to be financially to purchase this car. But seems like a good deal. Spoke a bit with the owner who is a young guy(27) and made his money doing the alt a subprime mortgages(SCAMS). He's probably driven the car hard but all the services were completed at los gatos ferrari.

    Hey Ed,
    Is he the original owner? I heard from the board that 2000 F1 has problem with the transmission and cost a fortune to maintain, is it true? I am in So Cal, have you seen this car? is it very clean and no scratch? What will be a fair price?

    I would say the price is good, but not a great deal. It's priced right for a private party sale. 24k miles is on the high side for a 2000 model.

    I haven't seen any problems with the 2000 360 transmissions. I never had any problems with my 2000 360 F1. It was a great car.

    I haven't seen the car in person as I'm afraid I might impulse buy and cut him a check after playing with the car. I'm a newb to Fcars so I can't really give you any info on the 2000 model issues. He is the 2nd or 3rd owner of the vehicle I believe. I don't know the condition but the fact that the car has just had all its services done recently is a good sign.

    I saw his first ad when he was asking 125. I think he just cut and paste the old ad and updated the number.
