Interesting Hawaii seems like a place that would have alot of Ferraris due to the nice weather.

No place to use them except maybe the big island.

Nice weather but you have to get the cars there and you are limited on where you are going to drive them. I would still want one there if I were to stay for an extended time though.

Since you are from Maui, what is with the sign on the highway across the middle of the island between Lahaina and the main airport that says " Litter clean up on this section of highway paid for by the Zonda Club of Maui" or something to that effect. Have you seen it? Out by the big pineapple fields?

I think it is in about the middle of 380

That sign is over by the Maui Plantation. I saw it driving back from Iao Needle. It has to refer to a different type of Zonda, I would imagine. What else has the name Zonda, though???

    F430 + road to Hana (Maui) = bliss :)

Also the road going around the west end of the island is less traveled and is nothing to sneeze at. I drove both in a Mustang GT convertible, both demanding drives.

Both roads have way too much tourist traffic.

Big island from Hawi to Kona is good but I lived there in the late 70's so maybe a little traffic there too.

Saddle Road could be a lot of fun when the reconstruction is done also.

Went on 250 from Hawi to Waimea on the Big Island yesterday. Great road for sports cars. No traffic. Cool and sunny. Elev. at 3000+ ft. 270 is almost as good. 19 is way too crowded.

Drove all around the Big Island today. 19 is beautiful on the East side. No rain in Hilo...a first for us. No rain all day. Went to Volcanoes Nat'l Park.

In addition, a "super automobile ferry" is coming late july 07. Cars will now be able to go inter-island for as little as $70. Drive on, drive off. Opens all kinds of driving and car club opportunities.

There are some great places on Maui to drive a sports car. Plus 365 days of 80 degree weather helps make up for less roads.

    Thanks for the video.

The ferry will be great assuming there will be enough clearance to get an Fcar on and off w/o scraping.

    Mahalo.

We have made an offer on a place in Kauai right on the ocean with stunning views. If it's meant to be it's meant to be.

When I was in Lahaina last year there was a place to rent exotics on the main road. I checked in on a F430. $4000 a day.

Yes, I saw that exotic rental spot a few years ago. Glad I saved my $$$ and put it towards buying my own 355! :) :)

Edit - also need to state the obvious, Hawaii is the BEST spot on earth...

i was on Maui a few days ago and wow! Gorgeous! Very different from Oahu. Drove up to haleakala in a dodge stratus, dreaming about how much fun it would be in the F-car. That f-50 is amazing, that guy has a impressive collection, i am driving the grigio 550 in that video.

I (and my 328) live about 500 yards from Akaka Falls (a picture of which is in this thread) on the Big Island. Have enjoyed reading the comments and viewing the great pics. Guess I'm a bit jaded, and it takes some outside eyes to remind me what a great place Hawaii is to live.

The road between Waimea and Hawi is a hoot. The Saddle Road will be once it is rebuilt. For cheap thrills I drive from Honomu to up past Laupahoehoe on 19 and back--three gulches with nice sweepers each way. There is usually a cop on the side of the road in Laupahoehoe, so do 45 in the 45 zone.

    Cheers, Mark
