After a long night, I have decided to not sleep at all and wait until after qualifying to go to bed. Sooooo tired. Haha.

If Kimi doesn't snatch pole, I will have considered this a wasted all-nighter and waste the rest of the day sleeping.

    But I have faith, P1 Kimi P2 Lewis P3 Heidfeld P4 Alonso (Booooo) P5 Massa P6 Kubica.

I also decided to stay up and watch it live :) It is 4am here. I expect/hope Kimi to get pole the key will be Massa will he help himself and more important not hurt Kimi's qualifying /race?

Ferrari should make Massa qualify lower than Kimi no matter what. He's proven he can't do anything in the race. Haha. (Somewhat sarcastic)

    Go Ferrari!!

I tend to agree, Ferrari should not take the chance that Massa will hurt Kimi.

Hard to complain yet :) I was was really hoping we would see speed and sato make it through to Q2. On Hamilton's fast lap he locked up the
tires around a corner and still made it into the top 5.

Kimi had better have been holding back in the last session. Otherwise Hamilton looks very threatening. I think he'll out qualify Alonso barring any traffic hold ups.

Care to make any BOLD predicitions regarding Massa for tomorrow Tifosiron?

He really is the Pole Sitter Queen, can he finally get it right tomorrow?

Raikkonen and Alonso were heavy IMHO..... a race of strategy coming up.......

here we go again.. well done Ferrari! got the pace...now just have to go out and win... will be interesting to see how much more/less fuel kimi has on board...same with the McLarens...assume one has more than the other...pit stop strategy etc... good that Massa is out front...gonna be a good race...minus any bonehead mistakes... Forza Ferrari!

Maybe we need Kimi to do a rolling road block to make sure LH and FA do not get ahead of Massa :)

did you notice how the "speed" commentators were rooting on hamilton on the last lap and then all groaned in dissapointment when he didn't clinch pole? well at least we know we'll be getting an objective coverage of F1 from those guys this season... :)

One thing I noticed is that the Ferrari team did not seem as happy as they have been in the past. Even the hugs that Massa received seemed forced. The pit team used to be close together almost holding each other, this time they were several feet apart during the last minute of qualifying.

i'm sure Massa is going over the start in his head...and will be thinking about it all day, night... it wil be very interesting to see how much fuel separates the team's cars respectively... also, the McLarens--especially Hamilton's--with lockups, didn't seem as well balanced as the red cars....see how that plays out during the race... gonna be a good one...lets go, Ferrari 1-2!

I am in Arizona this weekend for concorso Arizona, so I will not be watching nor logging on very much, my room does not get speed, sort of a bummer. I still have faith in Massa, nothing so far has shown that I should feel differently. Massa was the only Ferrari that even made the attempt to pass a McLaren last week, Kimi couldn't even try.

I am guessing, but if I were running this team, knowing that Massa is faster than Kimi, I would give Kimi more of a fuel load, Massa less. Massa would be the "rabbit", with hopes that Kimi will pass Hamilton during pit stops. Since my priority would be the Constructor's Championship, I would not care which of my drivers came finished in front, as long as we have a 1/2, worst case a 1/3.

I hope someone TiVo's this for me!!

Wow. After years of commentators rooting and/or gushing over MS the pendulum starts to swing a smidgen the other way and the complaints start.

Of course, any team that loses such a large figure is going to need time to regroup. It just seems to me that Jean Todt is going through the motions. With his half hearted smile and hugs. Even Massa and Kimi were subdued during the interviews after qualifying. Hamilton was genuinely happy and showed a great smile. Maybe a few Ferrari 1-2 finishes will bring the team together and help get over MS.
