Picked up a 'souvenir' pre-cut Enzo key from Wynn's in Las Vegas, took it apart and inserted my chopped up Ilco 355 key. Sweet!!! Hope I don't catch a 3 day ban, wanted to post this here too for those who don't cruise the 360/430 forum... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Heck no, I let some other fool try it first! A few guys picked up what they thought were 'uncut' keys, but they arrived 'cut'. Some returned them, others tinkered and modified...
stupid question but how hard was it to take apart both keys? did you use your own original blades or had one made and then insterted it
you could always buy an 'uncut' key from Jimmy on ebay for $500 (and it may just be a painted 612 key!)...or get this key from Wynn's for $190 Fairly easy to do; red plastic parts are just snapped on, I used a thin metal spatula and just pried them off (and took some heat from the wife, sheesh!). Getting the key out is tougher. I heated the whole thing in boiling water, then clamped the key in a vice wrapped in a rag and pried the black plastic off. It leaves a small dent in the black plastic right next to the metal key, but that's worth $310. Key was an Ilco copy I had made at a locksmith.

That's the comment you have for those of us who experimented with this process so it could be possible for you to do this? You are a jack ass!
Hey c'mon guys, where's your sense of humor! Sorry if it came off the wrong way, obviously you and the others are respected for doing it first. Edit - I only mentioned it was in the 360/430 thread, here's the link to the actual thread for those who want to try this: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140363
Then go out of your way to tell it that way. There are many wizards on this board who spend considerable time finding ways to provide valuable service to members to avoid the high costs in some areas or to find a better way to do something. That information is very valuable, and every one of us is very lucky that they share and continue to do so. Dominick was a huge help to identify what could be done with the original key removal in the manner you successfully pursued, and you have insulted him by your statements. I am not speaking for him. I am merely reflecting my surprise at your comments and how that might have sat with him. To make the statement you made degrades those efforts. It's very inappropriate to do so. You would benefit by showing a bit more respect and appreciation for the shared work of others.
