Anyone care to predict this race? Not going to be able to watch, so hoping someone will post up to the minute race action on FChat.

Thank you. Will do that, but not as colorful as some of the comments on this site.

I find it hard to put Hamilton lower than Alonso, barring something out of the ordinary. I'm thinking Massa will choke and make a mistake, Hamilton will score his first win, Kimi 2nd with Alonso 3rd. We'll see soon!!!

I'm going to say right here and now, that because of Fernando's higher fuel load, he'll pit later and leap frog Hamilton when they both have to pit again. Although i'd like to see it, I don't think Lewis will win.

Regretfully, I'd have to agree with your lineup, given what Massa showed us last week. I wonder, though, about the blue smoke we twice saw coming out of Hamilton's car. Didn't hamper qualifying times but I'm wondering if there will be a longevity issue. Is that normal? Interesting to see if anything is made of that in the prelims of the race. Hamilton looks very fast, possibly faster than Alonso at this point. I'm rooting for Ferrari 1-2 but I'm a bit skeptical at this point.

i see Phil Massa doin well this weekend. i suppose he'll be more aggresive and defensive at the start, after what happened last weekend.

OTOH, Kimi might spring a surprise too. he's surely on a heavier load. if Massa can get things right at the start, and kimi too, i expect him to leapfrog LH via pitstops.

not long to wait now...Kimi was not happy with his qualifying, as the car wasn't as sorted as it should be, and he had traffic compromising his time, so for the race, i expect kimi to be fast and be right at the top...Massa needs to drive a clean race. perfect, mistake-free if he's to win. i'm not completely sold on the balance of the McLarens, so that will be something to watch out for as the race unfolds. here's to a Ferrari 1-2!

interesting point, while i was watching yesterday's quali, star sports commentators commented that the extra 'shark gills' cut out behind the side winglet ( near the shell logo ), for extra cooling for the engine actually 'slows the car down a bit'

    Another east-coaster here checkin in!
I was supposed to be at an autocross today but it's pouring here so i couldn't use my hoosier r-comps anyway (and my competition mainly consists of WRXs) So i decided to make the executive decision to stay at home (if you can call a college dorm room home) and watch F1 instead.

I hope Massa can hold on this time and bring home a win.
    Ferrari 1 2 !!!!!!

I have a good feeling about Massa today; I just hope he doesn't get too excited at the start and drive off the road. I have faith he won't though. Ferrari 1-2!!!

I think Massa will atone for his bad start this season, but I have Kimi ahead of him. I think that he's carrying more fuel for a longer stint. I am wary of Hamilton, but I do think he may have some engine trouble. I remember seeing smoke a couple of times coming from the back. Maybe it's an oil overfill thing, but we'll see.

If it all plays out, I think Ferrari 1-2, Hamilton keeps Alonso off the podium. Maybe Hamilton eeks ahead of Massa in this one.

You are right, I also think Kimi must be carrying a heavier load. So unless Massa can capitalize and pull out a decent lead before the first round of stops, Kimi does have a good chance of jumping ahead. Same can be said for Fernando; I believe he's heavy as well.

    Mark

Edit: Good start by Massa, but Kimi lost a spot again. I think the team needs to practice starts.
