I was at FoNJ the other day, and they had what may very well be the last 328 GTS ever made. The car has 1400 miles on it since new. Needless to say, it looks perfect. The bad part is, now that I know what a new one looks like, it makes me want to fix mine up even more.
^^She must look great ! Here is a 328 gts that is being sold as a new car (100 kilometers, around 60 miles) in Switzerland : http://autoscout.ch/AS24Web/Detail.aspx?from=list&wl=1&lng=fra&id=3757610&qs=from%3dDefault%26make%3d27%26modellike%3d328%26cur%3dCHF%26zipcountry%3dCH%26total%3d12&page=1&row=5#
Its a slippery slope... Best thing you can do is forget you ever saw it. Try hypnosis or therapy or something. Otherwise youll need to sell a child to get yours up to that.
Lol. There will always be a bunch of perfect red/tan '89 328s for sale. Unless you want to stick it in a car-bubble and put a lawn chair next to it, I wouldn't get too obsessed with them. I was at an FOC show in San Diego yesterday and my car was surrounded by red/tan triplets, all indentical, all in stunning condition. They made 7000 of these, and probably 6000 are red. Just enjoy what you have and don't make it too perfect. You'll never drive it. I got my front bumper resprayed, but not the whole nose of the car - the few remaining (touched up but detectable) stone chips mean that one more won't kill me.
