Can anybody point me to a source that sells scale rims and tires. I want to put some on a 360 1:18th but I don't just want to put challenge wheels on. I want something different. Maybe there is no such product out there, or atleast i can't find it yet
There is, but the money they ask for it is crazy once you count in the shipping from Europe. I think it is www.tuning18.com. I am not hundred percent sure but if you google it you'll find it. I think they are in France and I tried to contact them but nobody returned my e-mail.Good luck.I would just try to source them from another model if I was you.YOu'll end up paying less if you buy a whole model for the wheels than buying just them. Autoart, FYI, makes also full size wheels for real cars. They have a wheel made for 360 Modena with the design of the Carrera GT wheel. So if you pick up a Maisto CarreraGT off E-bay for $20 you got yourself a cool set of wheels and tires plus a model you can figure something to do with. slk - Where do you get all these great decal sets? I bought some paper on ebay thinking I could do it myself, but DUH my printer doesn't print WHITE. Let me, and us, know where the decals come from!

I'm thinking of making a 9/11 F2001 car for myself. Has anyone (company/individual) ever made one? I've never seen a model of it, probably because it wouldn't be cool to profit from that. One question though, are the sponsor logos in a Hot Wheels 1/18 car painted or silk-screened on, or are they a transfer-type decal? Is it maybe smarter to re-paint the whole thing? Any tips or info would be great, Thanks. Image Unavailable, Please Login
If youre not lazy, then u could buy the 1/20 Tamiya F2001 and just modify the the front wing to the monza setup. Painting should be fairly easy. If you are a diecast person, then i cant help you there, i am only good with plastics, sry.
I thought of that, how cool would a "Full View" (clear body) version be with just the black nose? But I already have a couple other 1/18 Hot Wheels F1 cars already, so I'm kinda stuck to this scale. I know the detail won't be there when comparing HW to Tamiya, but I like the bigger models.
hello, i am a longtime lurker here on the boards. this would be my second time to post my modified ferrari's. btw, here's my version of the 9/11 F2001 Ferrari. base is mattel F2001 1/18. i've modified the wings (front-rear) to 'Monza' spec trim.also added Sidepod winglets, nosecamera and antennaes.also experimented on the removable nosecone part and made some scrattchbuilt fluid dispensers.
