We just heard from our good friend, and she's OK. I can only imagine what eveyone who survived is feeling right now. I hope the rest of the injured make it.

 

Today's tragedy reminds me a massacre in Columbia high school , back in 1999. Klebold & Harris killed 13 innocent people then ...

Does anyone know who was the shooter this time , was it a student ?

 

a friend of mine's brother lives in the dorm where the first shooting happened and he hasent been heard of as of yet

These guys are looking to go down in what they believe is a blaze of glory. I'm sure in their twisted minds they're thinking that they're getting the last laugh and people will remember them. It's also a desperate attempt at notoriety. Very sorry for the victims.

 

I have a friend of mine that goes to VT Tech which I hope she is all right. Later tonight I will see if I can get ahold of her. I saw on TV the death toll is up to 32.

 

Damn sad and tragic. I lived in that dorm for a year. The world is changing in a bad way.

I'll give it 3-4 days before we start hearing about prospective lawsuits from greedy lawyers representing the families of the victems stating that the school did not do it's due diligence in protecting the students......Just wait, I'll be dead-nuts on this one.

 

Ofcourse, and how do you think the Parents feel by paying to send off their kid to a college only for something like this to happen? It can't be "controlled" persay but without doubt the parents will still point the finger.

 

If I'm wrong, I'll still bet that Michael Moore will be all over this.

 

Does CNN have to show pictures of police carrying out dead bodies? How disrespectful to the family's that just lost there children in a tragic act.

 

Right now on CNN theres a woman talking about just that. How the college didn't do there job and how she hope the parents sue the college.


O yeah I'm sure books are coming soon. Greedy people trying to make money for someones loss.

 

Im not trying to make money but I would sure love to fund a project to get Video survelance installed at these campuses. Its just comon sense to have video cameras. They just installed them In a bad area of Compton 90 days ago and crime went down 60 percent. The funny thing is the cameras were not even turned on. JJ

 

it is sounding like vt administration knew that this shooting started to go down at around 7:00 am...the school should have been locked down and swat teams brought in straight away.

seems the admin tried to keep it surpressed and it seems to have backfired.

i think there may be a big liability for vt and the law suits will be endless. sad, sad, sad for the families. even more sad that the litigators will have many hours to look forward to billing.

this is just my assessment but by no means the only way this will go. no pride in authorship.

They're saying the first shooter at the dorm is not the same shooter for the second shooting on campus. Apparently two separate shootings.

Also said the campus was not closed down after the first shooting because they thought the shooter had left and was out of the state by the time....you'd think they'd take every precaution and action with past events of Columbine and the Amish shooting.
