    Hey everyone,

Today was awesome day at Infineon Raceway, it was defiantly Ferrari HEVEN. I was having a discussion with one of the FXX drivers and he said this day was a very special event, not everyone in the US will not see the FXX Ferraris up close and in action like we saw today. The FXX cars travel to only six track events around the world and only 29 of them were produced at 1.8 million each and they privately owned. The extra cost that comes with these cars are the special F1 Ferrari mechanics from the factory who performs all the care for the special FXX program which I was told, will end soon. I even had a rare opportunity to sit in the driver’s seat of the yellow FXX Ferrari, which is the only one is painted yellow. My nephew took a picture of me sitting inside... so when I get the picture from him, I’ll post it soon. Also I was very surprised that they allowed everyone to get very close to each F1 cars even as they were preparing them for the track. Again this was a treat and a very rare opportunity. I’ve posted a picture from the Infineon’s website which show a Ferrari Reunion in October, which I’m assuming it’s the Ferrari 60th anniversary party.

I would like to say thanks to Greg Calo, and his wife, Mike Tuason, Mike (SoftwareDrone), and Rick and his wife (blue328gts) gathering together for the ride up…. It was fun time and good seeing you all again. I’m hoping we can get back together for the October reunion event at the track which again will be a great time.

Your car was in the middle of TR and Greg's 360? Yeah next time we should hang out. I was there for only 2 hours, I think my car was the only black 348 there.

Mike T. Josh, Rick K, Chris L., Mike N., Rob Layton, Alfonso, and all the others with whom we gathered and I may have forgotten, we really had a great time.

We should do this more but in warmer, less windy conditions! It was a great day despite the fact that I had to leave a bit early.

I noticed that Mike Tuason had his battery tender in his trunk!!! Always prepared. Great family, too, Mike.

Drive up was fun but I promise to have my navigation working for next time!

Great day but most important fabulous people.

Great pics everyone! I was in the #43 430 Challenge (Black Clear Capital Ferrari of Silicon Valley car) this weekend as a Nor Cal representative. Thanks to those of you that came by and said hello.

This was my first race weekend. Nothing beats gridding up on your first race in the rain on slicks and trying not to spin pace laps... many did. Saturday was a nasty, slippery race as it was raining on the west half and dry on the east for the first couple laps. I qualified real slow, 20th out of 30 or so cars. First race I made it up to finish 12th with no contact with other cars... which made me happy as there were 40 + incidents in that nasty race... some guys were scrapping hard hitting everything they could. Second race I was up with a fast bunch of guys. I started 12th and finshed 9th. I made my goals of breaking into the faster half of the field.

Lots of learning to be had. Most guys have more seat time and more money than me. So, I'll keep plugging away. All and all, I enjoyed my first race weekend at my hometown track. I came out of it with a clean car and top 10 finish. Tony Takla and R3 Racing did a great job at supporting the car. Roger Yasukawa of IRL was an amazing coach (fastest rookie at Indy in 2004)... his advice on turn 1 and 2... go into in 5th gear flat then turn. :)

Now, on to Montreal to race in front of F1 crowds. That will be fun. NorCal'ers please come on out!

Thanks again to all the locals that came out and supported my rookie efforts.

Eh if I had Ferrari (especially a vintage one) it would be a massive garage/trailer queen. I can't help I do it with everything, like my watches which I hardly wear. Thats why you get a car thats pretty so you can enjoy looking at it and driving it haha.
