Shiv it was in the audi r8 spotted thread.. Murci is nowhere ner 7:40 but rather at 7;50, Gallardo 05 7:52, Ferrar CS at 7:56, I must say I'm rather impressed by the Murci and Gallardos times... Drove an 07 Gallardo today and it felt slow/heavy as fug, but sick sounding!

    BTW 996 GT2 is 7:46 (02 on street tires) and 997 GT3 at 7:47 :)

I agree with the above. Murci is nowhere near 7:40, what do you think it is a Z06 or something....

oh and the Porsche times are on super sticky Supercup tires, unlike the miserable run-flats like the Z06. Hope you dont mind a little friendly Vette/Porsche rivalry....

Guys -- This is a losing debate. Shivam believes anything with a quatro badge is FTW. If you put a quatro sticker on Joey, Shiv would marry him (of course they'd have to be in Vermont). It's said that every night he makes sweet sweet hand love to a picture of the 6.0 liter V12 TDI diesel engine from the Audi Q7.

Besides we all know that Z06 has the best cupholder of much more expensive cars; right Emil?

    1) i dont think anyone here gets FTW.

    2) quattro is awesome. I like all wheel drive cars on a track.

    3) I have no problem admitting the z06 is faster, but I think that if a car is fast, it should be fast all the time, not only when its dry, warm, etc etc.

    4) I only like cars with GurlieGirl Racing stickers on them. Anyone know of any in the area?

It is known that "most" of the Porsche times around the ring are run on Michelin Sport Cups, and it is speculated that the R compound tires are worth at least 6 seconds. If in fact that the GT2 time is on PS1's then my apologies, my mistake. Either way, it does not really matter, b/c I am sure you will not argue that a PS1 is a better performing tire than any run flat, and regardless of the fact, it still posted a slower time. I also do not think there is any question that Walter Roehl is a much more experienced driver when it comes to the ring then Jan, as it is reported Jan only has 40-50 laps around the ring. As far as I know, the ONLY Porsche to have a quicker time than the C6Z is the GT.

The CS time is pretty good considering its an old chassis and it wasnt whored out on the ring during its development as were all the german cars :D

Yes that is correct, but i can assure you it was verified the GT2 was tested ONCE and on MPS1's ;)

BTW your point is a moot point as far as im concerned, i never mentioned or argued once about the Z06, its a very fast car and i like it alot, very impressive for the money, and just as an overall sports/supercar as far as performance goes, not to mention on runflats, so in all i hope you realize i wasnt against it LOL!

no problem at all, just doing a little ball busting. I have to give you Porsche guys a hard time. Hopefully nothing was taken the wrong way. I must admit, I was impressed by quite a few of the Porsches that I saw a few weeks back.
