Smart kid. Get into a house 1st. :) Any 308 would be a nice "starter" Ferrari IMO. :) Cheaper than 348 and just as much fun. Only slower.......;);)
But very affordable and you can probably do most of the repairs/service yourself. :):)

cos after a rex it'd feel like an underperforming piece of crap.

no air cond to speak of, not fast, average handling (quite taily, from memory), brakes below average.

nice noise...a bit of room...but a 30yo car compared to a rex??? *shudder*

edit: you DID say as a daily

no...if you're happy with a GT4 or other antiquated OHOS ferrari and accept it exactly for what it is...then you'd probably love it.

    if i could only have one car...it wouldn't be ANY ferrari....but i'm cynical :)

I'm presuming you're not taking the piss out of me ;) The GT4 is the Ferrari all Ferrari wannabees first look at when they want to get into the marque cheaply. I remember as a 16 year old (25years ago) trying to convince my dad that it was the perfect family car (there were 5 of us!). There was one for sale at John Thompson Sports Cars at that stage for (you guessed it) $40k! As a result, they often have multiple owners a can suffer from "deferred maintenance", much like the 400 series.

[355] if you want to get into Ferrari motoring relativley cheaply then go for it, but as PP said it won't knock your socks off but rather transport you back to 1970's motoring. I had a WRX and it still is the best drivers car I've owned

Mondials are probably great cars and they pack more performance than a GT4. I just dont like the look of them, thats all. :):) Much prefer GT4 over a Mondial any day. :) BEST value is the 400 series? Maybe not the best value, but they certainly are the cheapest to step into. But I am sure they will absorb just as much, if not more money than any other Ferrari to maintain or repair. But I suppose if you buy it cheap, then you have more money to throw into it. Although, you should always buy the best Ferrari you can afford in the preferred model you like. :)
You should make an offer on that LHD 348!! Been for sale for nearly a year now, at least! Get it as a cheap track car and get the occasional permit to drive it around the streets. :)

Bah, plenty of time for a Fezza mate! Get your priorites sorted 1st. Good man! :):)
And I am sure FF will LOOOOOOOOOOVE you! :p:p
Alot of Ferraris sit on Carpoint ect......I suppose they are not the biggest moving cars in terms of sales ect..... :) There is a good, competetive 2nd hand market at the moment. Check it out. ;)
I have seen the Theodosis 360 in the Unique Cars mag. Which one actually, Black or silver one? He had 2 when I last saw mag. :)
You are a lucky boy having a friend like him that will let you have a drive of his Ferrari. :) That will bide you some time, in getting your own. ;);)

yeah, but what a great way to earn a living, i'd be jealous.

Problem however in owning a strip club is that you need to be associated witha certain social element, and i dont really fit their demographic. otherwise that would surely be the coolest way to make a living IMO.

Agree 100%! Would be awesome.............if it were like we see in the movies. :p:p
My friend works as head security for a guy in Brisvegas who owns 6 night clubs and 1 strip club-Showgirls in the city. :) Clubs are a b*tch to run/own he said, but the stripclub is the worst of the lot. :p You always have the girls/dancers fighting. Was a nasty punchup with dancers last week he told me. Hard to get girls to stay dancing for you. They get lured astray quite easily to other clubs I was told. Typical crap goes on at the club also. Drunk patrons fighting, dancers get upset on the night, then quit and walkout vowing to never come back and dance elsewhere. Drunk patrons and try 'touch' the girls ect......ect....:(
Stripclub makes good money, but VERY VERY stressful to be the owner my friend said. He said he is just happy being a security gaurd and not putting up with that crap. :) They are also having a security gaurd crisis at the moment. My mate reckons they are not getting paid enough, so guys look for work elsewhere. They had 12 security trying to look after 7 clubs last weekend. Not good........not good at all he said. He has been working 18 hour days trying to cover the lack of security staff at the moment. :):)
