    1. lets you download to flv format
    2. then you can find various freeware to convert to mpeg or something
    3. then you can use a dvd burner tool

This will work but I dont think the quality will be there

ask the person who posted it if they have the original version. youtube vids are crap on anything bigger than a gameboy.

If you run Firefox, add the "Greasemonkey" extension. It automatically adds a download link to the page.

Like everyone else said, FLV is crappy. I use "Total Video Converter" to convert them to either Quicktime files or Windows Media files. If you try to make them larger than they are on YouTube, they get so grainy they are almost unwatchable.

FLV isn't crappy, it's the amount of compression youtube uses. i can make full-dvd resolution movies in FLV format, it's just they are difficult to stream on anything but a direct connection.

Is it the compression on the YouTube vidoes that makes the resulting conversion so bad? The reason I ask is that I collect golf swings off of the net and I convert them to either Quicktime or Windows Media files. I use a golf swing analysis program (CSwing) to draw plane lines and positions on the videos.

The flv files I convert are just terrible. Is there a better way, short of finding the original source file?
