i have a picture request guys...does someone have photos taken to the front of the car with the doors open....???
I think he is after a general Miura photo showing the "horns" effect of the open doors, which I am sure you will have. I have a Bertone press release somwhere on this which i will find and post. Otherwise Jota photos aplenty will follow...
yes, i'm really looking for the "horns" effect... would really apreciate to see some photos 'cause i can't find many on the web, so i'm asking help to the experts... thanks in advance
Ah yes, the nowadays obligatory "horns effect" front-on pose. There's at least one on my website in the Galleria section. Joe www.joesackey.com
Piet, I hear from a reliable source that an SVJ based in the UK was offered $1.575m (declined). You can PM me if you have any details. I spoke to that car's owner on the phone last month but he did not mention anything then. Meanwhile we cannot wait for your images Joe www.joesackey.com
The Tolouse Miura S (4728) is a no takers at $396k, but there are still 3 days left. The highest price recorded for a Miura S Im aware of is $365k plus for the unbelievably original 4170. Joe www.joesackey.com
Joe, just out of curiousity...what is the price range for an average condition P400, P400S, and P400SV? Just interested in ball park "where the market is at" figures as I know each cars' history and current condition, etc. plays a major role in it's pricing. Thanks.
Go over to the Countach Reunion thread and see what some do ( such as '97 Diablo) when I simply report my observations that in fact are clear to everyone. Some cannot accept markets as they are and some can. I will be delighted to help you with values, and yes Im keenly aware of what they are. Youll have to call me to discuss it offline as most true enthusiasts in the market do Joe www.joesackey.com
Thanks for the responce Joe. My mistake, sorry. I actually meant P400, P400S, & P400SV's. Miura's of course. I did look at the other thread and now realize what you were reffering to. I surely do not wish to get in the middle of that arguement, so I will retract my question and simply continue to dream of owning one of these beauties some day. (On a side note I was looking to buy a Miura about six years ago and somehow managed to miss one that was offered in my home city of Toronto for around $100K Canadian at the time. I'll forever be kicking myself for that! lol) Keep up the good work with all the fantastic pictures. I espesically enjoy the retro circa '70's photos.
Thank you for excusing me from pointing out actual values. Its more than some can take.... Joe www.joesackey.com
This car (5008) really has arisen from the ashes and the restorer can only be commended for perserverance. It looks good. Another SV saved. Joe www.joesackey.com
Piet, I showed Claudio Zampolli images of your car and he was aghast (in a good way of course). You must remember that he was Bob's direct understudy in the experimental department and thus did much of the work on the original car and on all the SVJs. He said he would love to tune it and I can attest this man knows how to tune a Miura! Joe www.joesackey.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
Always nice to see a well-used Miura. This is SV 5030 on last year's Tour Espana. Note one of the many uses of duct tape around the windscreen trim, presumably to keep water out in the rain. It would be an honour to have his input, but the car is in UK and he is in US. One day we will get them together, I hope. Here is a scan from this month's Evo magazine with a great article and a special photo taken by Mark Dixon (of Octane) on last year's Miura drive from Gstaad to Monte Carlo.
