    So, I decided to take my 308 to work the other day. The onramp onto the fwy is left turn (with arrow), but larger than a typical intersection and decreasing radius. I decided to push it a bit and swing the back out a bit. Very controlled and adds a little excitement to the drive. After a couple miles I see "Ponch" in my mirrors. OK, I'm exiting anyway. I signal and he follows me off the offramp. We stop at the next signal and he pulls up next to me (I have the top off). He says "no more messin' around". I play dumb, "what do you mean?" He says he saw me slide around the corner on the onramp. My first thoght was..."Oh, you saw that". I thought better and said OK. At least no ticket. Would that have been considered "exhibition of speed"

    Not sure you can cited for "exhibition of speed" in a 308. ;)

    But you can look damned good and have a great time. Be glad John wasn't there with Ponch. Things could've gone worse.

    If I'm driving how am I going to take a picture of it???

    I've got a real good of me just missing another left turn before it went red. The city of Ventura was kind enough to send me the pic (along with a citation). I think that picture was close to $300. I'll see if I can dig that one up.

    Well, if it's an early injected car, put a brick on the accelerator, get out alongside and jog next to it with your camera.

    EDIT: Saw it's an early carb'ed car. You'll need to run, not jog.

    Henry, I'm glad you did'nt got ticket, but today we had our second meet ever in Bakersfield. During our drive, at one point we were doing about 130mph luckily no PONCH, but if were to get pull over at that speed we may do jail time for wreckless driving. But all in all it was a good fun day.

    Careless driving is another one here in New Jersey with fewer points then reckless.

    Just another case of enjoying the ride and being less aware of da man.

    I did it yesterday with my daughter...was havin' fun and focused on the cars near me when she yells out, "COPS".

    She saw them before I did!!!!

    Luckily was not stopped.

    I used to love taunting cops on my way home from work. There was an intersection(stop light) at the main 4 lane road near work, a left turn where the speed limit was 55mph. In my Corvette (sometimes with cops behind me) I would accelerate as fast as I could to 55mph (without squeeling tires), they tried to keep up but couldn't, until I leveled off at 55mph ,by the time they caught up to me, usually I had turned off into my housing development, there was nothing they could do, it was pretty funny.

    Now if I can remember how I took this pic with me sittin' in the car...maybe I can do the same while I'm making the left turn.
