You may be 1 of 100,000....sure there are a number of hockey fans in the states, but im saying that if it wasnt for the large number of canadian fans to keep hockey alive, hockey would have became a forgotten sport in the states. I remember reading some where that hockey in the US. apparently, in viewership ranked 28th. It's only been recently that networks have been airing hockey, i know NBC has recently made a mirroring setup of football for hockey. However, all major sports (baseball, basketball, football) have their own major networks in the states. Hockey games are widely televised on one of the most popular networks in Canada, the CBC. This channel is one of the basic networks in Canada, similar to your NBC, CBS, or ABC. It is available to anyone with a television and an antenna. If you only get one channel in Canada, it is likely that CBC is it. I'm going to stop now before i get pounded for being too Canadian, eh?
I can't tell you what that CBC Hockey Night in Canada song evokes when I hear it.... Saturday night, my dad and I sitting down to watch the bruins (with bobby orr) and the canadians (With Ken Dryden).... Good memories, I miss him every time i hear the song. how did i miss this thread. If any of you watched the games with the wild( i know they lost) but the ducks showed no class and are a skid mark on the underpants of hockey. I saw countless times when two guys were starting to fight and another ducks player would come into the fight. not to mention the sucker punch that was throwen. Needless to say the ducks are my new todd bertuzi, which means that they are lower than the crap that you would find stuck to the drain pipe leading from a toilet. As far as the remaining teams, I would say go detroit but now that they have bertuzi its harder to like them.

oooh it is driving me crazy. Here in theee saaaauth they have the most disturbing pronunciation for the word CANUK it is Can Nuk as in rhymes with Buck, truck, duck, muck etc I keep hearing them say Can uuk as in rhymes with nuke.... and they say I have an accent....
I want to see a Vancouver - Ottawa stanley cup final but the league wont let that happen because no one from the states will watch.

The NHL needs to hold an intervention and wrestle the Blackhawks away from Bill Wirtz's greedy little Manhattan-guzzling hands. So many people in this city would love to get excited about hockey again, but it will never happen with his prime rib-engorged duff sitting in the way.
try having pro hockey taken away from your state and shipped to texas. It does suck to have an ***** running the show but at least you have the blackhawks. they will have their time again, just not under that joker.
Oooh, yeah. A buddy of mine is from Minnesota, and he's PO'd as well. That whole move made almost as much sense as hockey in Florida.
