Chuck, That was probably me. I have a red/tan F430 spider and eat there all the time. I have never eaten a finer meatball and the chocolate molten cake is the best in the city. I live about 5 minutes from Ilios if you ever want to have lunch. My first choice is Silverstone/Cuio (sp?), but it sounds like I will not get my speced car until early next year or it may never happen. Brian
Sounds like the weather is going to ruin Sunday's plans. I doubt anyone will bring their babies out in the rain. I'll keep you informed on the next get together.
Mondial in Myrtle Beach yesterday, around 6pm at some restaurant at the mall, I think it was Logan's. Plus a Porsche GT3.
I love their Speghattini & Meatballs! That is my 'usual' from Ilios. I have yet to try the molten cake. Maybe you could introduce me to it! PM me your email address and we'll arrange a dya to hook up there. Cheers! C
I was just surrounded by 360s, 430s, a b-e-a-utiful yellow 55 Barchetta, Astons and Maz's while watching the Ferr...uh I mean Formula-1 race from Bahrain! Thanks again Ronnie and Greg and FCI in general, as well as Bob & Beth Snow for putting it together, Joe for the HUGE breakfast, and everyone else who came! Great time! Ferrari 1st & 3rd on the podium! Fantastico! Cheers All & Be Well, C
White Porsche 997 GT3 driving down Gervais Street around noon or 1pm on Friday afternoon. First time I've seen it around town
check out this riced out Maserati my friend got pics of....including streetglow and nopi stickers! http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j60/supasweetr34skyline/DSC01719.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j60/supasweetr34skyline/DSC01720.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j60/supasweetr34skyline/DSC01721.jpg
Last night, on Roper Mountain Road saw another Maserati in Greenville -- silver '06 Quattroporte. Beautiful car; I see it all the time going up and down Woodruff Rd. and Roper Mtn. Rd. It pretty much all stock, not nearly as gauche as that black Gransport Andy's friend snapped pics of.
While coming back from the new fish & chips place in Cary with the 355 today I saw a red 430 convertible at the intersection of Cary Pkwy and Old Apex Rd at about 7pm.
Black with silver stripes Viper GTS, black Lambo Gallardo, and a Maserati Quattroporte all Friday night in the warehouse district downtown. Charcoal Elise and 02-04 black NSX tonight downtown. Also, a friend saw an SLR on Glenwood Friday evening.
Silver Gallardo in uptown Charlotte on saturday night. Yellow 360 Modena in south Charlotte yesterday afternoon.
Riding down 540 around 2pm or so, I saw a red blur coming up behind me. As it got closer I thought... "It couldn't be"... but I stuck my hand out the window, waved for her to pass me and she did. Letting me hear the wail of that beautiful V8 as she passed me then went up the Lumley Rd exit, which was where I was going anyway. We got stuck behind a truck turning right so I got to sit behind her for a few seconds then the driver had the chance to go and he did. He let her rip and the sound was so amazing! I half-heartedly tried to keep up and since he was not on her too much and my car has some pretty impressive get-up and go, I kept up for the most part. Then, I had to turn away while she drove off toward 70... To the driver of that stunning red F430... Thank You for allowing me to hear her and see her for the time I had. FCI plate surround on the back.
Burgundy (?) Gallardo spider 264W around Wilson yesterday. May have been a Murcielago as I didn't get a real good look at it.
ford gt today comming out of ardsley rd, the neighborhood where the duke mansion is. it was silver and mad an awesome noise
The "her" I was reffering to was the 430. It was a male driving her. All automobiles, especially Ferraris, are females in my mind because if you take care of her... she will take care of you. Ferraris just happen to be the most beautiful and sexiest of all.
Looks like someone got a new toy recently. Followed a beautiful grey Murcielago yesterday a.m. for a few miles on Cary Pkwy. It had a 30-day tag and Sport Auto plate frame. Nice!!
today was infront of a 430 spider red/tan on carmel rd. guy was busy with a girl in the other seat at the stop light... nice car though two 150k+ exotics in two days, maybe charlotte is becoming an exotic car city slowly?
Went to Florida over the weekend and saw a total of 230 Exotics on the Streets of Celebration FL (Near Disney). Had lunch with a lot of the F-chatters and Roland even brought his F40LM too.
saw a silver maserati quattroporte (i think that thing is hideous!) and then later tonight saw a black one pull into sonic where a bunch of car people were hanging out then he just rolls through then rolls on out and tried to hit it leaving but it didn't really look that fast lol
