There have been posts in the past about how much can a person pack into a 550/575. This is the "load" for two people for a three week road trip. The rear window was not obstructed.

Another picture. This is the only shot I have of a clean car. The old girl looks pretty good for having 63,000 miles on the clock.

Did you bring the tools and such or just clear out the area below the trunk?

The below trunk area has the tools, cleaning supplies, extra oil, jack, lug wrench, several tire repair kits, electric tire pump and other misc. items. The trunk area is somewhat reduced by an Alpine nav, cd, sat radio system. In addition to clothing, we carried a Pelican case with Hasselblad photo gear, Nikon photo gear, and a 17" MacBook with all the stuff that goes with it. Some how it all fits.

Cool, I was wondering what was in the Pelican. I shoot Canon's 1dsMKII myself.
Now if Ferrari only made a cruise control. :(

Just got the "low end" digital back (CFV) for the Hassy. The MF stuff had been sitting in the closet for several years..digital made me lazy re:120 film.
Even with the low end 16 bit, 16mp back, the pictures are very good.

Very nice, I am constantly amazed by what the Canon can produce. It too is 16mp. Bring tons of hard drive. :)

Nice! I have always wanted to take a 550 or 575 on a roadtrip. We were driving through British Columbia (not in a Ferrari :( ) and a 550 was sort of following us towards Alberta. Only time we really passed him, was when he stopped for fuel, just an amazing car.

Its a single lane each way for about 90% of the trip through BC and the guy went to pass and just opened up the throttle, was past about 6 cars in maybe 8-9 seconds. Looks like fun!

Wow! I'm sitting here trying to picture doing what you did with my 575. In any case, you have my profound admiration. The bad news is my wife now has that photo to show me when we travel.
