Through the canyon to Laguna Beach, down PCH to Dana Point. What a sight it'll be to see that many F-cars in a caravan. Unfortunately, I have to attend a funeral at 11 AM.

A suggestion: someone contact the manager of the El Torito at Dana Point Harbor, 949-496-6311, http://www.eltorito.com/location.asp?loc=159, I suspect he'd welcome 40+ Ferraris showing up for lunch on Cinco de Mayo. Huge parking lot. They open on Saturdays at 11 AM. Maybe he'd even barricade tape an area for the cars. Unfortunately, Cannons Restaurant above the Harbor (fantastic view!) isn't open for lunch on Saturday. Have fun w/ that.

I'm kart racing all day so I won't be able to make this one.

 

We should start a list for breakfast/lunch, just so we know how many are going...I will make a call to the resturants once I know how many are going.

Might be too late to arrange a restaurant for a large group. Wish we would have brought it up sooner. But if people want suggestions of places to go or are willing to take their chances on seating, there's a huge variety of places in the area.

Edgar the Manager @ El Torito in Dana Point said we were all welcome. However, being cinco del mayo, he was not allowed to hold reservations and expected that he was going to be busy.

Thoughts?

 

Maybe we should just all park at the harbor and invade whatever restaurants are available there...

 

We can go to Coto de Caza and eat at Gentiles which is located at the Tennis and Racket Club. I could call ahead to make sure they have the tables and wait staff...same place as the monthly car show. Plenty of parking and I would be more than happy to put everyones name at the gate.

Also there is a back way to CdZ via Cooks Corner which is a fun drive.

Beautiful scenery, nice road. Would be a great ride in the Ferrari.

I'm all for one designated place. One person who has a contact and can organize it with the management - and soon.

I suggest that unless other options come up tonight, we pick this as the spot and move on. Otherwise, we'll be making suggestions until Saturday morning and end up splintering off into subgroups (not that its a bad thing). Yet it would be fun to arrive en masse somewhere.

 

These are primarily 348/355 owners, so maybe McDonald's is a better choice. Seriously though, something on the cheap side like an El Torito, Ruby's, Yard House would be my pic.

 

Count me in Lou, I go where you go... Are the wifes joining us?

Does anybody know the owner of the silver Enzo that lives in OC? I think that would be cool if he could come out this Saturday. I have seen tons of photos of his car but never seen it in person. Also are there any Veyrons or MC12's expected on the 5th?? I know it is a "Ferrari Day" I just thought that it would be cool to see some other stuff as well on top of all the amazing Ferraris.

 

Oh really? I was thinking about bringing the Camrari! Damn take me off that list then! LOL.
