I agree. A lot of pre-war, Ferraris, but there is even more Alfas (I count 8 classes for Alfas in 2005). Also, I found not much Maseratis. I have been their 2 times and the 2 times I was surprised to see so "much" (beautifull)Bizzarrinis and Grifos. In fact, there is a "Chevy small block powered with Euro special coachwork" class. So, there is a class for postwar Alfas, Ferrari Grand Touring (postwar), and V8 chevy italian class, so why not a Lamborghini class, a Maserati postwar class..., at least an "italian post-war not Ferrari not Alfa" class...

A larger Maserati contingency would make sense, particularly because they've been building important cars for close to 100 years.

But alas, I think those in power at Pebble are stuck on all things French and English.

That, my freinds, is part of the problem. And we all know how 'power' both real and perceived, corrupts the mind. Yet still, there are plenty of Italian cars, and Lamborghini's exclusion borders on blatant bias, and reduces the event's credibilty. We all know how dangerous 'old boys' clubs can be....

Great cars, yes! But I don`t think that they stand for an aera that is captured alone in in the one and only - the MIURA : the swingin`60ies!!!

There is a picture on file of Ferruccio Lamborghini himself signing that signature in that car, so of course I beleive that signature is authentic.

However, the plaque that declares its "Last Miura" status is not an original item, and was placed there in recent times.
According to the factory's own production register, the car is not the last Miura built during production, but is the 5th from last built. See www.lamborghiniregistry.com

This one is also sold, result of some creative 'trading'. They only had it a few days. I know it very well.

SVs must be flavor of the moment as there have been 5 sales I am personally aware of in the last 30 days...

It was. Gone to a Rancho Santa Fe enthusiast owner who really deserves it. He purchased it via Symbolic on trade. Long story for another venue.

    One month?
Actually it was on the market for much longer than that (4 months).

By the way, if a Miura SV sells within a month, that would be pretty good going. Its fairly standard for a car at similar price levels to take several months to find the right home, and there really isnt a concise explanation for it. There can be many reasons.
