Rather unusual car made right during the change between series 1 and series 2 cars. It has series 1 controls, console, etc. Yet it has TRX's and I think I see a load leveler tank back there. Asked the seller for the serial #, no reply yet. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=003&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=130108216846&rd=1,1
pictures make the car look very clean. if it looks that good up close, it would be a very nice car to drive!
What's the story on this? It's been up a couple of times: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-FERRARI-412-1988_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6212QQihZ010QQitemZ200105257931QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
Like I told you a really nice 5-speed is going to be VERY tough to find. You shoud jump on this one. If you don't I'm thinking about getting it for the Mrs. If the seller would ever answer my questions. Its pretty close to matching my 5-speed. His & Hers, now that would be cool.
The light blue car is owned by a good friend of mine and you would be amazed at the attention this car recieved when he bought it. He went through the entire car and sorted all of the small issues replaced all of the hoses and anything that needed attention. He then went in and had the interior all redone the car looks fantastic. If I had the money it would definately be one I would buy from him. Definately a very nice 400i. We took this car on a trip to Vegas last year and it drove great all the way there and back. I bought my 308 from him. tell your friend i'm still waiting on his email with the serial # Tough to buy it when I can'tget answers to my questions.
The seatbelt warning light is in a different place than mine-were these positions not standardized? Mine's under the radio, on the left side of the console.
No, they weren't standardized since each importer/conversion shop decided where to put it. All the DOT cared about was that it was there somewhere. John
Kraig, to add to Ashman's post. You'll also see that not all cars were federalized the same on the exterior. Most have rear quarter lights, but some got away with it and don't.
Nope I swear its true. The first time he said he was at work and he'd get back to me the next day....never got a reply. So I sent another email. This time it was "I'm out of town, why don't you make an offer pending your approval of the answer to your question." or something like that. What Aidan, you don't think I should just jump on it without knowing anything or being able to check a carfax?
