    Hey everybody!

I just relocated to McKinney TX from PA. I am looking to meet new people and get some suggestions on what to see and do down here in TX.

What are some things I should do or see while I'm here? Any suggestions for cool bars/hangouts in the area? What restaurants do all of you like to go to?

Are there any Ferrari events here in Dallas? I'd love to meet up with some fellow Ferrari enthusiasts.

Thanks for you suggestions in advance. Have a great evening!

    Dallas has so many restaurants.

In the past 3 months, I enjoyed Stephen Pyles(fusion of asian & french), Teitei(Japanese), III Forks (steak), & Daniels (Italian). Aurora (french but expensive!) is a good place to go, too.

For cheaper side, First BBQ (chinese), Namoo (Korean) are good.

    Bars: Moosh, Ghost Bars.

I tend to go to Asian food, as my friends take me there.

Hope your stay here is fun & memorable one!

I can't help you with "cool," but you just missed our spring club run.

The local FCA chapter website is www.FCADFW.com, we try to have a few activities each month. There's also quite a few impromptu get togethers, keep an eye on this forum.

    Welcome to Texas!

I was down in Dallas about a month ago for some interviews. Make sure you go to Sonny's (sp?) for the best BBQ you've ever had.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their input!

Hopefully I'll meet some of you at a get together or event.

I LOVE the warm weather down here. It was snowing in PA when I left!

Ditto that! For a few weeks in August you may be tempted to bail... just hang in there, it gets better. She short winter months make it worth while.

Again, welcome to Dallas, and I'll confirm that it will be warm enough for you, starting about the first of June and on through September.

All of the automotive events previously mentioned are good. If you want to see Ferraris and their owners, Boardwalk is the one to come to. I'll be at Boardwalk only this year...look for the 330 2+2 in my profile.

What part of PA are you from? My g/f is from western PA.

If you want something relatively close to McKinney (at least closer than d/t Dallas), then Down Under Pub and Grub in Frisco is an ok bar/live music/restaurant. The Irish Rover is also another local "pub", but I've never been.

The Shops at Legacy has some good restaurants (Jaspers, NAAN, Mi Cocina, Bob's) and a relatively new and trendy bar, Martini Park.

If you like steaks, then try Randy's Steakhouse and Piano bar in Frisco. Randy used to be the executive chef for Del Frisco's. The atmosphere is intimate. It's Frisco's best kept secret, IMO.

If you know who Randy White is, then you can see him at his bbq joint, Randy White's BBQ, in Frisco from time to time. We run into him all the time. Very, very, very nice guy.

But... First Chinese BBQ > *
