Hey everyone. Many of you know that I am searching for a Carrera GT and I think I found one in California, but I was at the dealership which will be getting the Carrera GT for me and he was talking to me about the car and that it is great just not very comfortable, but then he shows me what would be fun and very comfortable to drive. He opens up the door to show me a Ferrari 575 Super America convertible. I honestly like the look of the car a lot and the fact that there are only 225 (or something like that) of them in the world is a big plus. I know my dad will be driving the car as well (probably not a lot though) so I want something comfortable. Let me tell you, the 575 Super America convertible is extremely comfortable. He showed me a Gallardo Spyder as well, which to my surprise was also very comfortable. So, we are going to line up a Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Carrera GT (customer's we will borrow for a couple of hours), and the Ferrari 575 Super America convertible and take them all for test drives. I would like everyone's opinion.

    Thanks.

I thought you were like 18 years old? If you are shopping for a car with your dad that would make some sense. People here will never let you give this subject a rest unless you prove that youcan actually buy those big ticket items you are discussing. If you are really that capable, that's great. If you are young and hopeful, that's okay too, just say it that way. You might luck out and escpae the detective that search this site looking for posts like yours. Even if you are really shopping for that kind of car, the grilling is inevitable. doesn't really bother me, just giving you a heads up.

Well, it is my father who will be purchasing the car, but I doubt he will drive it. It is like most cars we own. He purchases them because he likes them and then puts them in the garage never to drive them again. I drive most of the cars we have more than anyone so when it comes to picking this one out, I will be doing it. It might sound weird because it is. He likes what I like and pretty much has fun with what I pick out. Hope it helps.

    Thanks.

That's cool. You will get along well with the frequenters of this site with that clarification. See ya Saturday, I'll be the one at the grill.

If you get to drive them all you should be able to give us a proper review but if it is just going to sit in the garage then pick the best looking of the bunch when they are all side by side. And can you give me the number of the guy who is letting you borrow his GT...I need more friends like that.

Oh no, whatever car I choose will be driven, but mostly by me. If I wasn't going to drive it, my dad would leave it in the garage and on extremely rare occasions, take it out. I believe a car needs to be driven, no matter what it is. I will let you all know how each one drives. I just wanted to see if anyone had anything to say to push me towards one car or away from another.

    Thanks.

The Ferrari 575 Super America gets my vote. I think short and long term this is the best decision. In Boca, you need something distinctive and that would be the Super America. All the cars you listed are at the top of their game, but this car is the sweetest.

Yes, the 575 Super America was something I have never seen in person before and I thought it was a great looking Ferrari. As you said, in Boca you want something distinctive that no one else has and this might be the one. I'm going to stop by the dealership sometime next week to check out the cars.

    Thanks.
