I've found a car, a '90 348 TS, excellent condition, 37K miles, needs major. Dealer will let me do a PPI. Price is $42.5k. It seems reasonable to me based on everything I've read here, but just wanted to check in.

I'm also noticed an fchatter, (cavallino) on ferrari ads, is listing a 13K '90 with major done for $56.5K. Assuming a major would cost me $6-7K on the car above, that would put my total price $49k for similar cars with a 24K mileage difference. So is the 24K less mileage worth the extra 7-8K?

    Thanks!

I'm looking also (F355), but think that having the major done and 24k miles less are worth the $7-8k. Just remember. some majors cost more than others... Now lets hear from those who know something :)))

to be clear, the price difference including major is more like 15K. 7-8K is just the mileage premium in my mind

Two other factors are the color and condition. All toolkits, books, manuals? tubi? any add-ons?

?? A diy 348 clutch job (resurface) can be done for as little as $150 and 2 hours of your labor/time.

I'd go with the Cavalino one in a heartbeat if it is a pristine example. And Martin has an excellent reputation - never heard of someone having a bad experience with him.

The low-mileage, pristine examples of these are getting harder and harder to find. $56.5 isn't out of line for those miles, and the color combo.
