I was looking at that diablo project car on ebay, it has no engine. Diablos are my dad's favorite car, but he doesn't really want to pay for one, so i showed him the one on ebay, and he said that he'd look at it if a diablo motor could be found. my question is, does anyone have a diablo motor around they'd be interested in selling, or if not, does anyone know where i could find one? thanks, robert

p.s, sorry if i shouldn't be posting this or if it is in the wrong section or somehting

You will need more than an engine.

Probably more like a donor car. Find one that was hit in the front.

You'll end up spending more than its worth (salvage title and all).

If your dad can't afford a good running car he sure can't afford to build one from parts. There are NO nickel and dime items. They cost serious money and a lot of them are not included with that car.

If you want a Diablo engine, your best bet is to go on www.kitcentral.com
They can point you in the right direction, and if you just want to have the v12 sound, they can give you the formula of to make a bmw v12 or gm v6 sound like a stock diablo engine.

    they should have a couple.
IMHO it is cheaper and easier to buy a complete and working car.

Why would anyone want to drop in a BMW V-12 in a Diablo to make it sound like the orginal?.

Remember he's looking for an orginal not a replica.

My suggestion was a friendly way to make the point that anything dealing with Lamborghini parts and labor would be expensive, and that there are some less costly alternatives that he might want to pursue.
